So the press tries to write what people want to read. And the more spectacular something is shown, the more money is made. The latter does not apply to all media but to many.

Another branch of media is state-driven media, for example, "RT" (the infamous Pootin) and PressTV (Iran). No money is made with these media. They cost their makers money! They report on behalf of autocratic regimes and contain many lies and distortions of facts. They want to incite people in the West against their own society. Such media should better be avoided.
