Does refusing to wear Pride symbolism mean that you hate LGBT people?

No, the teacher has responsibilities in both cases.

If the kid is attending school, the teacher has responsibilities.

As posted above, "gender affirming care" would not include body modifications such as that.

Obviously, cases like that would include SERIOUS involvement of parents, who ARE the decision makers at least to 18.

So, I don't know why you even bring up your idea here.

You are trying to make a joke of it. But, there are many degrees and issues with individuals.

Yeah, it's called 'gender dysphoria', a medical condition. And it's a really big problem that needs alot of attention.

And, telling the kid that he is NOT is an assault. You left out that part.

A kid such as that is sure to have real issues in school and at home and is in a high risk category for suicide.

When did I say that the teacher only has responsibilities in one case?

    Good -

Most wouldn't call it a medical condition. It might be. For example, maybe there is an issue with a gland of some time that could be rectified by medical attention. But, maybe it is way deeper than that.

You added in the home violence issue. I see no other reason for you to have done that.

Yes, trans kids are in a high risk category for suicide. So lets pump them full of cross sex hormones and puberty blockers. That'll be sure to make them not suicidal! :roflol:

OK, the thing is that there isn't anything that goes on in school for which teachers don't have responsibilities.

That includes any kind of concern that a kid expresses in school.

    I'm thinking of professionals here.

People off the street can have all sorts of nonsensical ideas.

And, you can't fault them for that. Not everyone has time to be expert in everything.

Most professionals wouldn't call it a medical condition?

It's usually not a situation where medical intervention is considered the best course of action. There is plenty of pressure, including by parents, to not take any irreversible action while there is any possibility of change.

And, teachers are certainly supportive of that. Besides, they aren't allowed to give a kid an aspirin.

The most common cases are same sex orientation. People live full and complete lives as they are.

The idea that teachers are required by law to ignore the agony a kid may be going through at school is seriously deranged.

I call it one more case that teachers need to be involved in at school as well as with parents.

    Heh, "biological reality"

Nothing about this issue is about "biological reality." In fact I'm surprised you even dared to write that statement.

Fake news. It's you who falsely claimed that these books are banned.
More fake news. I merely pointed out that these books you claimed were 'banned' were actually available anywhere and everywhere.

Why are you carrying on about Amazon when the issue was banning a book from the school?

The issue is a kid says something that suggests there could be reason for concern about his/her wellbeing. At that point, the teacher is obligated, often by law, to determine if police should be contacted. The teacher must file the police report, not the school.
