    I think that you've forgotten that Bush disbanded the unit charged with finding OBL. Obama put a new task force together and they're the ones who found him. The credit for eliminating OBL goes entirely to Obama.

    Only if you're not counting the latest current events in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan caused by his incompetent decisions which prove my point. It was none other than your dear leader that ordered the release of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and thousands of POWS in Iraq.

    Inflamed once again? Man you haven't a clue of what you are talking about. Suuni's and Shiites have been at war with each other for centuries. Inflamed once again! :roflol: What a joke. " The intent of the bloody attacks was to lure the U.S. and its allies into the middle east". That may have been Bin Laden's intent, but when Bush and Cheney arrived on the scene it was a mutual intent from both sides then. They didn't need Bin Laden for that.

    Having read a bit of political history of Iraq even before the Kuwait invasion, it really troubled me what was to come. Without a doubt I am glad Saddam is no more. The question is, was it worth it. Are the numbers who have died on all sides comparable to the carnage Saddam was delivering. Given the low probability nation building would succeed, was this a fight we should have picked?

    That is something I struggle with :(

    Osama bin Laden, whose al-Qaeda terror group was behind the devastating Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, has been dead for almost two years. But his dream lives on, and we see this being played out in headlines across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

    What dream is that? It's the dream of forming an Islamic caliphate —a worldwide body of Muslim believers, transcending all national borders, united under Islamic sharia law and the rule of a caliph —a successor to the founder of Islam, Muhammad, who died in A.D. 632.

    But the caliphate isn't an end in itself. Islam's holy book, the Koran, tells Muslims that Allah sent Muhammad "with guidance and the True Faith [Islam], so that he may exalt it above all religions" (Surah 61:9, Dawood translation). Thus the purpose of the caliphate is to be a stepping-stone to Islamic world domination.

    Blame Bush and Cheney all you want, however Osama Bin Laden declared war on America during the Clinton administration and attacked America at least 6 times from 1993 to 2000.
    On September 11, 2001 America finally woke up to the war. Barack Obama has now exacerbated and allowed the holy war of Osama Bin Laden to expand within the very areas we conquered and pacified by releasing the major terrorists of al Qaeda and the Taliban.
