    WASHINGTON, May 8 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed the president's son, Donald Trump Jr., to answer questions about the younger Trump's contacts with Russia, two congressional sources said on Wednesday.

    The panel is seeking to question Trump Jr. about his previous congressional testimony, the sources said. The Axios web site said he told the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2017 that he was only "peripherally aware" of proposed plans for a Trump Tower project in Moscow

    I'm with Mello... I guess Richard Burr decided the case isn't closed just yet...

    Mueller already interviewed Don Jr. for hours and Don Jr. was also interviewed by Congress behind closed doors for hours.

    What are the expecting to find new?

    I'm confused because this subpoena was issued to him by a Republican led Senate committee. Why would Republicans want to question Don-boy?

    No, the Mueller report doesn't say there are crimes otherwise Mueller would have reported them as crimes.

    Sleepy Eyed Chuck Todd just made a really good point.. Why would the Senate Intelligence Committee be issuing this subpoena about his peripheral awareness of Trump Tower Moscow when it was the Senate Judiciary Committee Junior potentially lied to??

    If Don-boy refuses to take the subpoena, he'll be refusing to comply with a Republican subpoena and he'll be in contempt of Congress and as we just saw, Congress will charge him with contempt. Unlike William Barr, Donny Jr. is a private citizen and he can actually go to jail for contempt. If he does comply with the subpoena and appears before the committee, he'll more than likely take the 5th.

    All the report did was lay out the evidence, from which it is clear that crimes were committed. Mueller explicitly stated in the report that he would not be making any recommendations or indicting the Childlike Emperor.
