The problem made by white America is in thinking they were invisible to the discriminatory laws designed to increase the prison population, in order to increase profits. Do not be surprised when the "Meth Epidemic" explodes and droves of white people are hauled into prison like Jews in Germany, 1939. You see, what is going in demonstrates a dramatic shift in not power, but thinking. Black Americans KNOW that any slip up, of any kind will ruin their lives. Thats why college enrollment, and high school graduation rates are up (HS graduation rates are the same as whites) and crime is down. White people on the under hand are yet to feel or see this. For ages now white teenagers have been allowed to get away with anything, while getting a slap on the wrist. Now? They are going to jail/prison. Nobody is safe, and I love it. Nothing brings revolution when everybody feels the crunch equally. I hope we can join one day join together and fight to end these laws designed only to put people away. Will we?

considering white people are the huge majority in the nation shouldnt their be more in the prison system anyways? how does that take away that african americans are a small blip in comparison and yet they are a huge majority in the prison system?
in a perfect world, with all things being equal, the white prison population would be directly equal to our percentage of the general population. and btw, if we decriminalize low level possession of marijuana and punish possession of crack the same as possession of coke, the black prison population would decrease a lot.

Virtually all white men in prison are there because of drugs, some kind of domestic dispute, or white collar shenanigans -- not because of violent crimes. The incarceration of white men is showing a slight increase because the economy is so bad that even they are starting to steal stuff.

I guess all the posters arguing about it being wrong?.... I'm also guessing it's a big deal considering since I've joined this site, the number of "blacks acting wild" threads have been almost a daily occurrence. The only time there is a lull in the "black" thread creation is when those members who start those threads get banned. I guess the most ironic point is the members who liked to bash on black prison percentages and crime rate, ect., are the ones making excuses now.... doh.
Well the OP did correct his numbers. OK I don't see anyone making excuses in this thread for white criminals. I sure didn't in my late, deleted post. So if there are any "whites acting wild" I want them tossed in jail. I'm not sure how this is even an arguable point.
