He offers scientific advice that contradicts his own science. His only purpose is to remain in the spotlight. It is political....not scientific.

 

In what way did Trump want a dictatorship? I know that sounds good for idiots to say it but in what way? Letting people keep more of their own money by cutting taxes? Trump did not have people arrested or banned because they disagreed with him but democrats are doing that.

Dude - I think most people KNOW someone who has battled Covid - either Long-Haulers or someone who has died - or both.
Is it really the end of the world to have the common curtesy to wear a mask in public or to give people a little bit of space
until we can get the majority of people vaccinated? Is there really any social advantage to acting like a child over the whole mask thing?

For centuries it's been common curtesy to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze - is it really the
end of "rights" to upgrade that to a mask for 18 months?

Finally we agree, sort of.

I know dozens of people who were infected, and all of them survived. None of the people I know were hospitalized, and just a few actually sought medical treatment.

My experience in that regard fits in with the numbers--99% of those infected survive. I know one who was treated with Ivermectin and it worked great.

Most people are very childish about the mask. They actually believe that it's saving them from infection, and they have further been conditioned to believe that they are being courteous to others by wearing one.

I know 6 different people who became infected, and 2 of them were healthcare workers, who wore the mask all the time.

So you embrace and keep to your superstitious ways Daniel, and I'll stick to my ways of understanding the facts and the science.

And I'll continue to believe the scientific evidence of masks REDUCING transmission patterns and not letting
the "perfect" be the enemy of the good. There has never been a claim that just wearing a mask was a perfect solution
to catching the virus - the claim was that it helped REDUCE the chances of an infected person passing on the virus.

 

I think Jordan was correct to keep trying to get an answer out of Fauci. I think Fauci was wrong to keep avoiding giving an answer.
The thing is, Fauci is the go-to guy for the media to tell Americans what they need to do. So fine...he should also tell us how long we'll need to do it. If he doesn't know how long, he should say so and he should say what events, measurement, criteria, etc, will tell him...and us...that we don't have to do it anymore.

 

Common courtesy is an act of the will, not government coercion. Don't be so angry at me Daniel.

 

I get mad at people who sneeze without covering their mouth and nose - why shouldn't I be disgusted with a person
who lacked the same common curtesy by spraying their mucus around during a pandemic? Takes a friggin second
to put on a mask, far easier than tying a shoe - so what's your problem? Not putting on a mask just to be contrarian
is a childish move.

 

I wouldn't call him an imbecile on this point. Like the rest of the world, he simply didn't have enough information on the virus or precedence on how to handle it. He lost trust by having daily press conferences that caused more confusion (ie. disinfectant, UV lights, Hydroxychloroquine, etc.) than calmed people's fears.

 

If he is infecting you, my advice is quit reading this forum.
