LSD and other Psychedelics should not be illegal. We are paroling murderers and rapists to make room for non-violent drug offenders--- that's crazy. Magic mushrooms and other drugs are discussed by Sam Harris, Ph.D. Listen to his podcast.

Mild psychedelics like marijuana I think are okay, but although I support decriminalizing pot, I don't support decriminalizing harder psychedelic drugs. I say this having done harder psychedelic drugs. Yes yes yes, big bad power of the state war on drugs yada yada yada. Despite all that, making psychedelic drugs easier to obtain is in nobody's best interest.

And putting people in jail for using the substance is only hardening minor criminals.

LSD? Took it multiple times in college. Decriminalize and mass manufacture to make it dirt cheap. This would destroy the black market and people would actually know the substances they are taking so they can actually be safe.

I'm in the medical profession, it would be a lot easier to help these people that come in tripping out if I knew the actual damn substance they were on. I've been told they've taken X and when the test come back and the only thing showing up is Methylone problems happen. Minor dosage changes can have severe results if the product is unreliable. I don't personally like that. If these people want to do drugs let them , but let them do it safely.

Only 2 Substances should remain classified IMO, that would be Meth(<---Excluding War time scenarios) and Heroin.

I personally favor making all drugs legal for recreational use, provided there are sufficient regulations wrt actions while under the influence. for instance grounds for immediate termination if you show up tripping out, or nodding out, severe driving bans if found under the influence, criminal liability if others are hurt, etc.
I don't think I would object if recreational drug users had to declare their status on their licenses and reveal such on applications etc. but that might have reverse the intended effect. Not sure on that one.

the problem with many of these drugs (assuming they are what they are supposed to be) is that there are always a % of people who react extremely negatively. I've seen quite a few people freak on acid for instance, I once witnessed a person have a psychotic episode after taking a couple of hits of pot. And most of us have witnessed a person with dependencies on prescription drugs and/or coke, ruining their lives.

Still, I think making them legal with limitations on usage, while using the massive cash generated to finance universal drug education, abuse programs, etc
