Yes, Term limits and remove party affiliation off every ballot.

If I were king, in addition to pretty much pissing off 97% of the electorate in the first 30 days with my tax plan, I'd lay down the law with congress with one simple request, bring me term limit legislation first or don't bring me any legislation at all.

Any and all other important issues that can't be handled by executive order will rot on my desk until term limits are implemented, since they can't seem to do bipartisan legislation with any regularity, the chances of veto proof papers hitting my desk are pretty limited.

The best thing that happens is that nothing happens which i'm ok with since congress rarely changes things for the better.

Every press conference would discuss Term limits, and ONLY term limits until that is passed. THEN we can start gutting the budget.

At that point there will be a LOT of ex gov't employees looking for work and their competition will be all the able bodied welfare recipients that are also looking for work. The good news is there will likely be some openings in the construction and agricultural fields due to my mass deportations.

Basically, I'd be Epsteined by tripping over my bathrobe sash and accidentally hanging myself within the first 6 months.

She should on principle, but that's no lock... even though the Mich 8th seems to be a suburb of Detroit, before this lady, that district had a deplorable-level Congressman from 2000, plus it preferred Romney and Trump.

I have my fingers crossed for her, but I'm not holding my breath...

She won in a District (previously held by Mike Bishop).

Yes it was close. 50.6 to 46.8. (13,000 votes).

Pretty good for a Dem in an off-year election.

That said, the only way that I see her losing her seat in 2020 would be if Trump were to (once again) carry Michigan.

And, in that case, there would be more concerns than who holds MI-8.

She knows she may lose her seat in Congress because of it, but she decided it was more important to fulfill her oath of office & "preserve, protect, & defend" the Constitution, than cave to angry voters who wouldn't know the Constitution from a Dr Seuss publication. I respect & admire her for it. :applause:

This is what happens when left vs right is more important than right vs wrong.

We use to pledge allegiance to the flag.
These days the commitment on both sides to their party is sickening !

Although I am a conservative, I am an independent.

I doubt it. Her vote will come a year before the election. By the time it rolls around, issues like healthcare and factors like voter turnout will be the deciding factors.

Those are all factors the left put on the back burner preferring to impeach someone they have no prayer of removing.

Pelosi literally passed her drug price bill last week. The GOP has yet to even settle on a plan that the GOP can support.

Trump isn't smart enough to understand any of the healthcare proposals or policies.

    Why?

Are you holding yourself out as an expert on the politics of MI-8?

I will be interested in your expert commentary as you call the race within 1/10 of 1%.

Looking forward to hearing your expertise on MI-8 :salute:

If you would venture outside of your conservative echo chamber you would find that some people care about integrity. Jestsayin, breh.
