What I don't understand is how Elon Musk has become very much hated by the left. I mean he single-handedly built several companies that address the needs of causes the left favors, such as Tesla's electric cars and Space-X reusable rockets. But somehow he has become the villain. And we saw it as recently as he wanted to buy Twitter. I haven't really been paying attention to him because I don't currently use his products. So, what happened?
Progressives can't tolerate a rebel. Their parents might have been counter-culture, but they're about as easy-going as Victorian school ma'ams.
He was always insane. If by 'he went' isane you mean he gave the middle finger to wokism, then I guess that could be a comforting thought.
It's quite simple: 1. He doesn't genuflect at the altar of woke politics. 2. He is rich. 3. He is white and his family had an emerald mine in SA. Of course, 2 and 3 were still present when he was a darling of the left, it's only 1 that has changed.
He gave the Radical left what they wanted, which was cleaner cars. They loved him for that, but not that he threatens their Socialist Agenda, by giving people Freedom of Choice, to come to the platform without hindering freedom of speech, they hate him for it. They hate that they can't control every platform on the web, and sensor Conservative speech on every platform.
Which tells you how deep they are. Either that, or their ideology is far close to a fundamentalist religion that we suspected.
becoming a Trump support is a stink many have hard time washing off especially if one still supports him after they know all the immoral stuff he has done
Actually, it's quite simple. He's getting full of himself. Eventually, if someone doesn't do an intervention, he might lose a few of those companies. His words can have a bad effect on his investors' bottom line.
The original sin doctrine is completely intact with them. Don't know about it being a religion though, more like a really odious secular doctrine.
Smokin' too much crack? Adderall overdose? Chemical brain imbalance? Demonic possession? How am I supposed to know?
Musk is a "darling" big tech oligarch that does not react like the Democrats expect of oligarchs. He supports individual effort and advancement; he doesn't buy into the woke tenants of the Democrats; he is politically conservative and doesn't subscribe to big daddy government. Democrats despise that no matter what he might produce. If you don't pay homage and go along you do not count.
