Doesn't consuming someone else's money turn your stomach as much as consuming someone else?

 

They've obviously consumed more than their fair share. If not for the obese, there would be no hunger.

We can start with you? To many people in the world you are wealthy and obese. How would taxing the wealthy end poverty?

 

I am 5'8" and 150 Lbs. I have enough money to live on, and support my family, for the rest of my life. I am neither obese or wealthy. I have personally earned less than ten million dollars over the course of the last thirty three years in business out of the many, many millions we have done in business over those years. I am as far from the 1%ers as I am from obese.

 

As this is a Christian professing nation, why not just obey the Bible's laws and have all rich people sell what they have and give it to the poor?

 

I disagree. I do not infer that from the bible. I do not believe that the bible implies that.

but then, it is binding on professing Christians so if you are not one, it does not impose this on you

 

Any portion of the bible is good for instruction, but no portion of the bible is good for conclusion.
Conclusions should only be drawn from the full counsel of God's creation.
