    So the OP says he's an "adversary" of the Scouts organization, and equates them to the Hitler Youth, but in your opinion, that's not an example of him hating the Scouts?

    Do you ever just replay these arguments in your head and go, "man, wtf?"

    Based on having been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for the past 11 years, no, they are not paramilitary--their basic organizational structure is not like the military, and they don't step in and perform military actions. In the Boy Scouts, the organization is a representative democracy, rather than military. The boys choose their own youth leaders, etc. The boys choose what type of activities they do, and there is absolutely no central command.

    That said, I agree Trump's speech to the Scouts was atrocious, and the Scouts should not have responded the way they did. It shold be a warning to liberals, though, this upcoming post-Millenial generation (of which most current Boy Scouts belong) is not the same as the Millenials. They are much more conservative and actually like this country.
