Now Obama want ANOTHER $447 billion? Is it any wonder unemployment is still over 9% after wasting $840 billion dollars? The stimulus has show incompetence at every turn. First the DOE with Solyndra and Evergreen, now the Department of Commerce with weatherization projects failing in Illinois and Washington State.

The more they dig the more ripoff they uncover. Obama and the Congressional Democrats are solely responsible for this financial fiasco. We need to eject all who voted for it in 2009.

I'm not seeing how private contractors (*)(*)(*)(*)ing up the job is an example of government fraud, waste, and abuse. You would no doubt be criticizing the administration if they had required more extensive licensing procedures for contractors to be able to bid on weatherization projects.

Frankly, given that most of these programs are designed to help building owners subsidize the cost of weatherizing their buildings through private contractors, I'm not sure what you would have expected the white house to do about it. How is it Obama's responsibility to make sure homeowners hire competent contractors to do the work? Would you really want the white house telling you who you can and cannot hire to do the work on your house?

As for high dollar values for low job numbers, no (*)(*)(*)(*) it costs a lot "per job" when you incorporate the cost of buildings and other durable products into the cost of labor. Private corporations often spend hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars "per job" by that measure.

The DOE isn't only "rife with waste and fraud", it's also rife with Obama donors and fund-raisers - ABC News article - 9-29-2011. Probably a coincidence...

Where is the Government oversight while the projects were going on? When I remodeled my home, I had a city code inspector poking, prodding and questioning each and everything I did......constantly! So again I ask, where was the oversight, why weren't they put under the same scrutiny as the projects progressed as a private citizen? Were they sitting in their offices watching porn while the incompetent contractors were busy cutting corners or did they get a little $$$$ incentive to look the other way? No matter how it happened there was no on site monitoring of the jobs in progress, that is obvious.

Since you are so indifferent to government handing out taxpayer money that is being wasted I'll bet you want to raise taxes on "the rich."

Because since it's not your money Obama is pissing away why should you care?

I think you mean China will that's where Solyndra is planning to make their solar panels coming out of chapter 11. The Chinese get the jobs, we get the bill. China's GDP Growth hit near 10% in the third Q 2010 during the recovery summer. Thanks Obama.

So I guess you do think the white house should be telling you who you can and cannot hire to do work on your house.

How about the government oversight? Where were the building inspectors, you know the ones up the backsides of private citizens attempting to work on THEIR homes? You know the "regulators" who are supposed to protect us.

I think the White House should be protecting the border and deporting illegal aliens.

So yeah, I suppose I do support telling me and everyone else not to hire illegals.
