EU is trying to close down the internet

It's a sign of the times. Even this forum is corrupted with censorship. I was given a warning last week because I was having a debate with another member and I asked him in jest "getting a little thin skinned, are we" It is the second warning I have had on here. The first was a joke about someone's Avatar. We as a society have lost the art of having to laugh at ourselves. The thought police and political correctness crowd have won. I think of Orwell's 1984 were everyone looks depressed, scared or emotionless. The internet should be "Free Press". If certain sites offend certain people or groups, they may survive for a while, but they will fail on their own. Steven Colbert has Trump to make fun of every night but it is getting old and he has nothing to fall back on as he is not a funny guy. He and Jimmy Kimmel and maybe Fallon are all doomed for failure.
