To answer your specific questions, my understanding is that they monitor what their sample of viewers are watching minute-by-minute and compile those results into an "average minute audience" for the program. So, for example, imagine some programming event, maybe an athletic competition, like the NCAA Tournament Final that aired on Monday night. The whole program lasted 2.5 hours / 150 minutes. During that, viewers in their sample obviously exhibited a wide spectrum of behaviors. Some turned it on at 7:00 and didn't turn it off until 9:30. Others tuned in for a few minutes, and then turned it off. Others might have flipped back and forth between the game and some other program. Obviously there are more than just these three cases, but for simplicity's sake, let's use them, and call them viewers A, B, and C. A watched all 150 minutes. B watched 10 minutes. C watched 80 minutes. All together (150 + 10 + 80) / 150 = 1.6 "average minute audience". So, on average, a minute of the program was viewed by an audience of 1.6 people.

Which is why we now all know that CNN and MSNBC have lost over 80% of their viewers. That isn't people just watching Tucker as a joke. Thats people who have LEFT the lefty media.

But I do enjoy all the fake excuses for the failure of the worst cable news providers. CNN and MSNBC don't literally tank so bad that their viewership is lower than The Cartoon channel or Nickelodeon just because people are just watching Tucker for laughs. They are tanking because they turn on Tucker and Fox and don't come back.

After the reporter asks his question and gets an answer Carlson comes back with the idiotic statement about Biden and "where does he get the power.......". He's making a false point about something that wasn't said nor implied. The reporter asked a policy stance question. He asked a rhetoical question about a change. Carlson didn't even quote the reporter correctly.

 

So you are fine with the huge failure CNN and MSNBC have become?
