As of Tuesday evening, a Chicago police spokesperson told CNN that investigators canvassed the neighborhood where the reported attack occurred and have found no still images or video from security cameras of the incident.

The only image of Smollett police obtained from security cameras was inside a Subway sandwich shop near the location of the reported crime. The actor was seen standing alone.

A dozen police detectives, with the assistance of the FBI, are working the case, according to police spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.

Investigators are testing the chemical Smollett said he was doused with and have yet to confirm the nature of the substance.

Question: How far away was this gang of two or more persons when they positively identified this barely-even-on-tv non celebrity?

Was Jussie wearing a hat in the 14 degree weather? And it was 2am and dark, right? Does he cut such a distinctive figure that strangers are able to identify his face and his Television Show by silhouette alone? Is there a Celebrity Silhouette spotting guide, like WWII warship spotting guides?

We have some claims that suggest a random and opportunistic attack, and other claims that suggest a planned attack on a known person for personalized reasons, and the confusion of the two completely-contradictory sets of claims suggests that something is wrong and/or missing here.

 

My guess is this guy either got beat up in a lover's quarrel or he some pretty stupid sex acts go bad.

Based on what we know and how, let's say, questionable this story is, I'm surprised you haven't ran away from it yet.

If this story turns out to be true, then I'll be the first to say I jumped to conclusions, but I'll need to qualify it as the story makes no sense as we currently know it.

Sure, I suppose they may have said such in an effort to misdirect the "blame," but I dont blame anyone beyond right wing extremism, racism, and homophobia. All are concerns more so than "MAGA."
