Your problem is that you think this is all about Trump. It is not. Its all about the fact that Hilary is the most dishonest and corrupt person ever. It is almost irrelevant who the R candidate is - he/she will be better than Hilary (the most dishonest and corrupt person ever).

 

This is spot on. It is exactly why he can say or do just about anything and it won't change a thing. He hasn't really given much in the way of details as to what he would actually do and how he would do it, so the "facts" that his supporters could even care about are few and far between. His personality and their perception of what they think he stands for are all they are going on. Trump gives the appearance of not even expecting to get this far and it shows at this point.

It's up in the air as to whether many of them understand that his candidacy is about nothing at all beyond self promotion and gathering worshipers. Perhaps there is some glee to be had being a Trump worshiper(because that's what he wants you to be and what he will consider you to be) but if there is, I have not yet discovered what it might be.
