They didn't "miss" it. The medical examiner found it, and correctly identified stroke as the cause of death.

This seems to be the detail you are missing: The blood clot in his neck was not caused by an injury. You are apparently unaware that people can get blood clots from causes other than through injuries. What point do you imagine you're making? Wherever the blood clot formed, and whenever it happened, and whether it broke free and moved within Sicknick's body or was present in his neck right from the beginning (and we don't have a definitive answer to any of those things), what we do know is that the medical examiner examined his body in great detail and found no signs of either external or internal injuries, which is where your whole house of cards theory that the protesters killed him falls to pieces.
