If people want to do this stuff and it makes them feel better about themselves then I say: "Have at it".

It goes sour when groups like this infer that if people can change then indeed they should change.

Don't for one minute think these groups act with any degree of neutrality. Their default position is that heterosexuality is good and homosexuality is bad. If they really were neutral and really could change peoples' sexuality then surely they'd be offering a "both-ways" service. Think of all the potential extra clients. Think of all the added revenue!

Prior to the recent DOMA and Prop 8 rulings, the very existence of such organisations might have had some effect (however slight) on the political narrative surrounding same-sex marriage and gay rights in general but at this point in time I'm tempting to join others in saying: "Who cares?"...

They're not at all secular. Spend a few minutes on their website and you'll find numerous references to religion and religious organisations. They do try to make it sound all "scientificy" like "creation scientists" do with intelligent design "theory" but underneath, it's business as usual.

For the most part, every day is an heterosexual pride event and why shouldn't it be?

I disagree with the notion that just because one group displays pride they are doing so in conflict with another. I'm not gay but I've been to and enjoyed gay pride events and was positively welcomed when I did. I've also seen gay people being fully supportive of a boy and girl couple holding hands or kissing in the street.

If you want to start a heterosexual "pride" day then by all means do so. It will be a lot more fun if you make it inclusive so that gays can also come along and enjoy the fun just like they do with their events.

Good for them. SO their parade will feature leather chaps with the BUTT STILL IN THEM?

I'm not sure how hard you were trying but I think that could actually be a fairly accurate assessment...
