I DRAW MY CONCLUSIONS, from studying humans, chimpanzees and bonobos, among other animals.

I applaud all efforts to help those less fortunate. The claim, however, is misleading. Did you follow the programs results or did you just assume it worked?

So your assertion was incorrect and you found part of the reason. Its a good start. The graying population has far less trouble getting their benefits.

They appear to be, and many form conclusions off of that.

The application of the law is what we should be going on here. Cagey on them, if addicts can go on for decades never giving LE cause to get involved. What's the push back from some of y'all on advocating compliance with local ordinances, state & fed. law? The intersection point twixt those on the street & the LE presence is where things get started. For the 3rd time let me reiterate: homelessness & existing within the parameters of the law are NOT mutually exclusive (nor should they ever be, obviously).

I have studied the program results in several cities. I am not claiming it is a miracle program that will eliminate all homelessness. But as part of an overall strategy it has been shown to be very effective and with cost savings

You are calling for a conclusion you are not qualified to make. The parameters of "the study" were adjusted to show success when the actual results may be worse. As much as I would love to see success, reading about homeless shelters overflowing to the point of having only a yoga mat available to sleep on, shows that the problem may be getting worse. If they slept on a friends couch recently, they are not included in the "Chronically Homeless" group.

I won't do anything about them - they are not my responsibility. They are their own responsibility, or their family's responsibility.

Economies are ever in flux. It's the nature of things. It's on us to adapt to changes and keep up.

Scuse me? I'm no 'right winger', and I agree with them entirely. When you're far enough left, you're near the other end of the other side.

It's the perspective of all those who actually grasp the concept of finite resources. ie, not children.

That's not a good thing, necessarily. Is 'misfortune' triaged (speaking of triaged care etc)? If not, then any help could be dangerously wasteful.

Nice try trying to frame helping the less fortunate as "wasteful".

My constitution(not sure where you are from) allows congress to tax citizens for "common welfare".

Morons don't do the keep up thing very well.
But when they can't afford anything anymore, and are drowning in debt, they demand that government give them more free **** and raise our tax rates.

So it looks like if you don't do something about it (however much you may not want to) they'll end up doing something even worse?

Conservatives can solve this problem, on their own terms, or wait for the other side to come up with a "solution", the latter may not be what you want.

But a lot of times stubbornness is what leads to disaster.

    Solution to what?
    Do what about it?
Most conservatives cheered the pre-2008 and post-2008 credit bubbles.

So, you think that morons should starve to death? At what IQ do you think folks should be able to remain alive?

Would it be any more palatable to you to get them while they're still in the womb when they have low IQ?

That seems to be one of the arguments I've heard in the Abortion forum.

Welfare is the nuttiest social plan that has ever been concocted. How insane is it to pay people more and more money to have broods of kids that the parent(s) has no intention of supporting? How insane is it to sponsor the reproduction of the least productive, least creative, least intelligent least motivated people, least responsible, and least educable?

This kind of social program is obviously meant to break down society into a chaotic, poverty-stricken mess. Only the most evil people would advocate for the continuance of this program. It brings to mind how republican politicians have had 60 years to stop this nonsense. Instead they threaten to cut off social security for the elderly without a peep about putting the noose around the neck of the welfare programs that subsidize the irresponsible.

Look at places without welfare. It is a nightmare you would never live in. It's a bribe....and you better pay it
