Did you not bother to read the legal procedure as the law requires. The President authorizes the AD to seek the warrant and the AG then instructs the FISA attorneys to go to the court, they both had to sign off on it.

Schematics really? That's where you want to take this argument? Do you know what the FISA court is for? Do you know why it was established? The purpose of the court is "surveillance". It was put in place so Richard Nixon would be able to happen again, by protecting American citizens from being spied on by their government. It made it a requirement that ANY foreign spy practice had to be approved by the president or the FISA court.

Why did they not go to normal courts? American citizens are protected under the 4th amendment unless there is probable cause they are guilty of a CRIME. FISA courts main requirements are that the person is a foreigner OR the threat is so great it would be detrimental to our sovereignty.

 

No, the FISA warrant is designed to spy on foreigners or agents of foreigners that present a threat to America's security. The President can do this without a court order if he wishes under certain conditions.
