The Fed banks don't make policy decisions, the Fed Board does.

So the Fed Board that determines policy isn't based on members who are appointed by the President, approved by the Senate, with a majority not coming from private banking backgrounds?

Member banks are paid a 6% return on their mandatory paid in capital as required by law passed by Congress. The Fed has never lied about this. That is just conspiracy fabrication.

That payout represents a tiny fraction of it's operating profit. The balance of its operating profit (over 95%) is remitted to the US Treasury every year.

Just like private banks do, right?

And Obama didn't sign that law, it was on the books decades before he took office. That is just partisan fabrication.

    No, it is not.

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (hereinafter referred to as the “Board”) shall be composed of seven members, to be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate ... In selecting the members of the Board, not more than one of whom shall be selected from any one Federal Reserve district, the President shall have due regard to a fair representation of the financial, agricultural, industrial, and commercial interests, and geographical divisions of the country

The Fed holds $2.2 trillion worth of US Treasury Bonds on its balance sheet, in theory, Bernanke can defer the debt to infinity or simply just write them off.

That is not Federal Reserve Board of Governors who set money policy. Those are directors of each of the Federal Reserve Regional Banks. Each FR Regional Bank has its own board of directors, but that is not the FR Board of Governors that sets money policy, which is appointed by the President under the statute I provided earlier.

This wouldn't be absurd, if anyone believed that one person sets monetary policy in this country, or 7 people.

Anyone that has ever had a job at a large organization, knows that this just isn't how things actually work.

Those are figureheads, PR faces. The CEO of my company knows jack sh#t about building the product we produce.

Why would that be absurd. That is like saying it would be absurd for anyone to believe that one person sets the policies for the administration and military.

Yet it is the Board of Directors who sets policy in a corporation.

Now you've devolved from discussing fact into baseless, unsupported and fanciful conspiratorial nonsense.
