Can you expound on this please? What are you pointing to as "not normal"? The time? The search? The person?

One could reasonably argue that this is not a "normal" situation at all. After all, most people aren't lunch buddies with the world's biggest liar and con man that needs to be stopped before he can stain any elected position ever again. So, what exactly about any of this would you classify as "normal"?

Of course. They always see themselves as victims of some dark conspiracy. When they break the law and get arrested, they say its because the cops hate them.

 

In early Jan 2021, we were talking about Clark and questioning why Trump would want to install a new AG with only 3 weeks to inauguration. That picture became very clear yesterday.

 

My wife and I discussed this last night and we agree 100% that Nixon would NEVER have been brought to justice in todays political environment. We also very much believe that America in its current form may not be around much longer. We agree that the media drives this division for money. Fox News is the main source of disinformation and they stoke the division daily. America in its current from may be lost already when 82% of one party believes that the election was stolen with literally no evidence. The Cult of personality has taken over truth.

 

So, that means the "abnormal" you assign to this search is actually "normal" within the abnormality of the whole sh!t show.

 

The problem isn't the media. Their nonsense wouldn't work if they weren't making a ton of money off it. It's up to, We, the People, to make the effort to educate ourselves (outside confirmation bias) and focus on those matters that push us beyond our comfort zones into a place where we are willing to take responsibility for our own lives and contribute positively to the society in which we live.

Clearly, "us vs. them" isn't working and has never worked and will never work and until enough of us shout "turn off the merry-go-round of shame and blame" we are going to continue to get half-truths, outright lies, outrageous lies and everything in between. Why the hell would somebody do more work than they need to do to produce anything "better" if we've proven that we'll take the slop pot contents?

 

Yup. And when they are, we all want them to be prosecuted accordingly. But that really isn't the context of this conversation, is it? The reality is that current DOJ and AG Garland using their offices and power to attack their political opponents. This seems to be something you approve of. Will you approve of it when the pendulum swings the other way? Are you ready for folks like Maxine or Kamala to have the jack booted thugs and fox news recording take them into custody ? And not that it wouldn't be great TV, are you really sure that you want this to be the precedent that you leave this nation here?

 

I suppose that his arrest was public TV spectacle? Or did you overlook that?

 

It appears, to me that democrats believe in their elevation to the American Aristocracy. There have been so many examples of the "let them eat cake" comments from their team this year.. "Inflation... it's a good thing. Buy electric cars... etc."

 

The Trump bum boys will be sputtering hysterically, of course.

In order to obtain a valid search warrant, the FBI must have probable cause.
If the FBI believes there is probable cause they will present the evidence to a judge.
The judge will then decide if there is sufficient information to issue a search warrant.

If by normal Americans you mean any American suspected of being in possession (knowingly or not) of evidence relating to an indictable offense? Then in that case the answer is yes, it is perfectly 'normal'.
