People should be able to grow, sell, smoke or give away weed. The Federal Government needs to get their noses out of our private business and stop suppresing free enterprise.

I wouldn't complain if I woke to that news tomorrow.

It's not as partisan as you think. About a year ago, my US house representive, Matt Gaetz (Trump supporting Republican), co-sponsored a law (with a downstate US House Democratic Representative) to reschedule marijuana so it could be legally prescribed. Why hasn't Nancy Pelosi gotten it to a vote? Neither side really wants it legalized at the federal level. Instead we have this quasi-legal bull, where the states pretend it is legal.

Most medicines we take don't cure anything. The allergy medicine I took this morning didn't cure my allergies, but it masked the symptoms, so I'm not stopped up. Same with the aleve I took a couple of weeks ago. It didn't cure my hurt back, but it made it feel less bad. That's a horrible argument against a drug.

Then you are either very healthy and fortunate not to ever have pain, or you're a masochist and like the pain.

Sugar is not a drug. It's a nutrient. Yes, caffeine is a drug, but a beneficial one.

And there are alcoholics that do the same thing. They start their day with "hair of the dog."

I've got no problem with that, but there will be societal costs to it, just like there are societal costs to it's prohibition. TANSTAAFL

I had surgery on my torn meniscus in my knee and didn't take any pain medication that the doctor prescribed. I was in pain for a few days until the initial swelling went down but it wasn't anything that I couldn't handle.

I had a stuck 6 mm kidney stone for 10 days until I had lazer surgery. For those 10 days I was very uncomfortable but refused to take any pain medication, just ibuprofen.

Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Freedom has its consequences. However compared to the tyranny displayed by our supposedly representative government has practiced as a result of this idiotic war on drugs that is a small price to pay. Back before the Federal and state governments started getting in our business and restricting what we could put in our bodies, Coca Cola was laces with cocaine, you could buy a couple ampules of heroin produced by Bayer pharmaceutical and clean needles for $1.95 from the Sears catalog and Laudnum a concoction of Alcohol, morphine and cocaine could be purchased for about $2.50 a quart at any drug store without a prescription. There were no drug gangs, turf wars, mass addiction problems or cartels until the federal government stepped in and created them. As with anything in a free society, there were people who abused these substances and hurt themselves, of course. Same as drunks, chain smokers and people who eat garbage diets made up of junk food, hormone laced meats and processed foods people will get sick and die, but that’s their choice.
