Federal Judge: Barr has sown mistrust in the DOJ

Apparently not as they didn't do anything illegal. Just because leftists don't like something doesn't of necessity mean that it was illegal, immoral or evil.

 

Right ... because Mueller didn't hand the hot potato he was supposed to focus on right back to the DOJ? Barr's treating (D) & (R) oversight committee requests equally. Barr hasn't changed or bent any rules. (D) committees could have appealed directly to Mueller to submit his own oral synopsis before Barr said a word. Barr is reviewing (D)&(R) congressional referrals as prescribed to determine if prosecution can be sought, the same way he reviewed Mueller's obstruction findings. Barr can, and has fulfilled his duties with integrity.

 

Barr has other duties besides this

He cant give it his undivided attention

 

Barr's about to name a new deputy. And Barr can select any US attorneys he likes. I'm not going to support anything to further erode confidence and re live the Mueller nightmare. AG Barr is competent and effective until proven otherwise in my book.

 

It is being purged. To date President Trump has put 97 judges on the bench and that number is accelerating rapidly thanks to Mitch McConnell.

You are implying that barr will appoint someone with the duties of a special council but without the title

Yeah ... special counsel appointments require congressional input. The DOJ is part of the executive, not the congressional branch. We need to get back on track here. The DOJ has a budget and a primary function, as well as trained legally empowered investigators. Is the DOJ obsolete, or just inadequate? Do we fix it or scrap it?

 

In washingtion malfunction neither gets fixed or retired

We have a special council law and we should use it against trumps enemies as they used it against him

 

I'd personally prefer to see the new AG clean his own house and restore the practices of equal justice, and due process. Barr's in a position to do that and it won't cost taxpayers a dime, or fuel 2 more yrs of turmoil. Let's concentrate on seeing justice done, and enjoy whatever sweet revenge might come from that pursuit afterwards.

An IG report is not good enough

 

Why do you think the IG report signals the "end"? The IG will recommend both disciplinary actions and criminal prosecution, unless it's submitted like the Mueller cop out report without recommendations at all. Mueller was a DOJ temp office clerk who could afford to neglect his primary duty. The IG has a job and a pension to consider. The IG report better be definitive, or Barr will need to name himself a new IG too.

 

Assuming it finds wrongdoing the IG report should be the basis for appointing a special council

Its certainly more authentic than the russian dossier that launched the mueller investigation

 

Except for mis-characterizing the OLC memo and Mueller's report. Except for prioritizing Don's protection over the interests of the nation. Except for disingenuously claiming he can't release grand jury and classified info to Congress when he can. Except for fomenting distrust among the public.

 

An I G finding of Criminality and a referral for charges would damn well get the ball rolling with or without a special council. Keep in mind half the people involved in this mess no longer work for DOJ.

But a special council can

 

So can a court of law and an investigator. In fact any federal investigator can interview them at anytime pursuant to charges potentially being filed.
