nothing of any importance or relevance in that.

and the right hide behind so called religious freedom to cover up their intense need to demean others and NO religious freedoms are being trampled upon, that is just your red herring to evade the real issue.

Brevity has it's place, in this case it would not have been correct to use, and as far as your responses to me have been concerned you have in no way (until now) made any indication of trying to get back on topic nad BTW you don't have any right to tell me to quit, and an ad hominem attack is only such if it is not true.

See? Where I did try to get back to the topic, you didn't want to discuss it and just dismissed it as irrelevant.

I've given multiple example of actual people that have been driven out of business, threatened with fines or possible imprisonment for their beliefs.

That is because it is irrelevant.

and how many of these were non-profit businesses registered as churches and/or private clubs which are exempt from the legal requirement to not discriminate against a group of people due to their sexuality?

Just give me one example of a church or private club that has been prosecuted for their beliefs .. I know you cannot.

It was relevant to the topic, you just chose to ignore it. Which is fine, you can ignore it if you want. What isn't fine is dismissing the violation of the INDIVIDUALS RIGHT TO FREE EXERCISE OF THEIR FREEDOM OF RELIGION. The first Amendment does not say, you have a right to freedom of religion except in the case of business owners who serve the public.

Why do you act oblivious to the events that have already taken place? I know it is not stupidity, so are you just a part of the angry left that want to prosecute a perceived enemy - Christians?

Why do you keep trying to convince us that you are delusional and paranoid? Is it possible that your thought process is so disturbed that you see this all as a fight between gays and Christians? Is it some sort of sick game, or are you so out of touch with reality that you don't know that there are many gay Christians, that many Christians are accepting and supportive of gays, and that gays are not out to get you?

hahahahahaha, that's just funny first of all I'm conservative and I'm a Christian.

it's obviously city ordinances that are infringing on your rights why do you ignore that obvious fact?

It seems like whenever I present facts that you can't deal with, you launch into another paranoid, delusional rant. If you think that gays want to destroy anyone or anything by trying to gain rights, you should seek counselling or consider medication. And, after claiming that you can state a compelling government interest in denying same sex marriage -you produce nothing? My work is done here.

I am not ignoring it, to ignore it would mean that I haven't even read it .. I did, and I came to the conclusion it is irrelevant.

On your first point - http://thefederalist.com/2014/10/27/gay-marriage-and-the-right-to-be-wrong/ - no one is saying that you or the business owners do not have the right to express your opinion on such matters as SSM, the point is that as a for-profit business it cannot discriminate against a select group of people regardless of the religious beliefs of the owners. You seem to forget that under US law a business is seen as a separate entity from it's owners ie a judicial person and as the courts have already decreed that religious belief of the owners cannot be deemed the religious beliefs of the business 'person'. Furthermore there are strict laws involved for churches etc who are exempt from anti-discrimination laws, these laws include compliance with the tax code's strict prohibition against providing private benefits to individuals, especially to leaders who exercise control or influence over the organization ie the owners of the business cannot make a profit from it, if they do it breaks the exemption applied to churches etc. None of this effects the freedom of religion of the business owners, they are free to express their religion as they wish . .however, they cannot use that as an excuse to discriminate against people when they operate a for-profit business.

On your second point - http://www.christianpost.com/news/r...-and-religious-freedom-cannot-coexist-128610/ - This is yet again an assumption without cause, I have already asked you to provide a single case of a religious organisation being prosecuted for refusing to offer a service or product to a same sex couple, you haven't and I know you cannot as there are none .. you, along with any other person, with those religious beliefs that SSM is simply wrong are free to express that opinion as much and as often as you like, just as I, and others who disagree can express our opinion .. however, neither of those allows for you or me to discriminate against a select group. As a for-profit business I can no more refuse to offer a service or product to a religious person based on my belief that God does not exist than you can refuse based on your belief that God does exist and is against SSM.

The purpose of the Free Exercise Clause is to secure religious liberty in the individual by prohibiting any invasions thereof by civil authority. Religious belief takes shape within the minds and hearts of individuals, and its protection is one of the more uniquely “human” rights provided by the Constitution. To provide the relief requested it would required to conclude that a for-profit artificial being, invisible, intangible, and existing only in contemplation of law, that was created to make money could exercise such an inherently “human” right. - Citizens United v. Fed Election Comm’n, 558 U.S. 310, 365 (2010)

General business corporations do not, separate and apart from the actions or belief systems of their individual owners or employees, exercise religion. They do not pray, worship, observe sacraments or take other religiously motivated actions separate and apart from the intention and direction of their individual actors.

How does securing the blessing of liberty prosecute any perceived enemy?

It is the right that doesn't mind bearing false witness to the People and a god, by not having enough Faith to execute our own laws. I believe Job 34:30 applies in such cases, especially with a McCarthy era phrase in our pledge.

Our supreme law of the land is more supreme than Any commandments of even Religion. Our Founding Fathers said so in Article 6.

To quote Michael Jackson, "That's just ignorant". Plenty of example of Christians being persecuted in the US have been in the news. Acting like it never happened won't fly with me. Oh, homosexuality is a sin. Being a gay Christian is like being a Jewish Nazi.

    See above.

I think my rant was reasoned and thoughtful, it was neither paranoid or delusional. What is paranoid and delusional is thinking people are out to get you because of the perverted things you are doing in the bedroom. Nobody cares, we just don't want it thrown in our face all day long by gay people what they are doing. It's disgusting to normal people. You haven't presented a compelling government interest in why we should change the definition of marriage. How does that benefit society? If you really want to do something about mental illnesses, you should lobby to put homosexuality back on the list of the APA's mental disorders, and work to find a cure. And my work is done here.

Holy crap listen to yourself!! Oh no, your not paranoid. You just see this as an epic battle between Christians and homosexuals where there can only be one winner. I will add that no one has to prove that they are deserving of rights. The government has to provide a compelling reason to deny those rights. But, knowing how poorly you understand our legal system, I don't expect you to get that.

Once again, I must ask, why did it take over 2 hundred years to realize there was a right to gay marriage? You can't seem to come up with a reasonable explanation as to why this basic homosexual right was right there in the law the whole time and nobody knew it. Is that how our legal system works? We just make up new rights and voila, hey there it is in the law, who knew? It's a stupid position to be arguing from. Like I've said over and over, if you want to change the law, do it through the legislature, they make the laws.

It's a question that is not even deserving of a response but here it is anyway. Sometimes you don't know what there is until you look and you don't get what you want until you ask. Societies evolve, the law evolves. It is not stagnant. Soon gays will have everything that they want and you will be left beating your head against the wall. You might as well get over it or move to Uganda. They would love to have you. Now tell me something . How has your life changed, how has anything changed since marriage equality has come to California?. What will change when it is legal everywhere?

Well, if you win, the churches will be closed and Christians will be in jails, or forced "sensitivity training". But I think the justices will in the end put an end to this childish nonsense and uphold the law.

Evolution does not mean dumbing down the public in order to convince them that laws mean what we say they mean at any one given moment given what is popular or cause celeb at the time. The law doesn't evolve, and that is on the top of the list of stupid arguments leftists give for gay marriage.

And thanks also for proving again that you have no understanding of our legal system or appreciation of the Constitution.

Well, I am a Christian, and I am homosexual. If you think that Christianity views gay people the same way the Nazis view Jews, I would disagree with you. Your denomination may treat homosexuals the way the Nazis treated Jews, that just means you don't really follow the spirit of Christianity.

Delusional people never think their delusions are delusions. Irrational people think they are rational.

Turn off the gay porn, nobody is forcing you to watch it. Nobody is throwing it in your face. Just because we don't hide ourselves to respect your sensibilities, doesn't mean we are throwing it in your face. That is rather paranoid delusion.

Than stop thinking about it. I find sushi disgusting, I don't feel the need to banish sushi eaters to their own home. I am not that sensitive to what other people do. Frankly I don't give a crap in the least. See I am a grown up, and things that disgust me, I just don't participate in. I don't need to stop other people from doing it.

[QUOTEYou haven't presented a compelling government interest in why we should change the definition of marriage. How does that benefit society?[/QUOTE]You talk about it like it hasn't already happened.

First, mental illness aren't cured. You expose how little you know about psychology when you post something so ignorant. And second mental disorders have to have some form of psychosis. Things that you don't like isn't a psychosis. Being unusual isn't a psychosis.

You do a disservice to your cause by pretending you have any clue about behavioral science.

I'm just using basic reasoning a logic. You can find whatever excuses you want. Not going to change a thing, including the facts.

No, you are actually using opinions and feelings. But Lee to yourself, somebody has to believe you.

    The facts are against you.

Holy franken(*)(*)(*)(*)! I just realized something! Maybe you're not crazy. This bizarre, over the top bovine excrement is more than I could expect from the most psychotic person imaginable. I think that you're faking it. It's a game. You're just having fun here. You may even be a pro gay liberal. Maybe even gay yourself. Common now. Tell the truth. enough is enough.
