Oh please Joe. You've defended illegal voting, defended Obama's early release of prisoners circumventing congress, attacked the "under God" legally added to the pledge and aren't satisfied kids are not required to say it and you attacked limiting sick days by a conservative state like Oklahoma. You are constantly arguing with the conservatives and in fact I couldn't find a single conservative position you've taken in the last 4 pages of your comments so don't insult our intelligence. Your comments and whom you pick fights with scream liberal no matter what you tell yourself.

If that were actually true your comments and positions you've take would be balanced and they aren't. Not by a long shot.

There is nothing to argue about, all I said was FOX is around 50/50 on hard news and opinion/analysis, that is what Pew said. I could care less about their revenues or viewership.

FOX is only biased if you consider what they actually broadcast, and their editorial directives. If you are perfectly oblivious to what's actually happening, they can be quite informative. In polls, people who watch FOX are always the least knowledgeable about current events, they know less than people who get their news from any other news source, they even know less than people who say they don't follow the news at all.

There is actually only one news source that has it in their charter to be fair and balanced, that's NPR/PBS.

Are you aware that they won in court that applies to ALL news organizations, and they all do it when it comes to opinion.

You are the typical liberal that cannot discern between NEWS and OPINION.

I listen to NPR everyday, and I also watch FOX, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC. The difference between you liberals and most conservatives is we want to hear the other side of the story so we can sort the through the bias and distortions. We conservatives even though we disagree with your politics and opinions most of the time, no conservatives EVER try and shut the liberal news and bias distortions down that I am aware of. So there in lies the biggest lie from liberals, none of you respect the 1st amendment to our constitution, because you side has been trying to shut down FOX and conservative talk radio for years, and anyone else with a different opinion and philosophy. Go to any college across America, most all try to prevent a conservative speaker from speaking and successfully do it sometimes. Conservative speakers at colleges have to have armed guards, and you cannot say that about liberal speakers

Go back and reread what I said, that was a bit of sarcasm lost on irrational people who are in automatic attack mode. Find any thread on Illegal aliens you can where I commented and you will see I am against the manner in which both parties have ignored this issue for the past 30-50 years. I am completely for exporting them and their illegal anchor babies, and being much harsher on the criminals who hire them. Where do you stand on this issue?

Again I didn't defend him, only pointed out to rabid posters that he was within his power according to the constitution to pardon whomever he wishes, and that many of the people he is talking about releasing have done more than sufficient time since many of them have been in prison for decades. Due to the lesser convictions handed down these days allowing some leniency for parties convicted and sentenced under older draconian laws would seem to be the right thing to do. But it is my opinion this matter should be considered on a case to case basis not necessarily just a blanket sweep.

    Again you are adding much more to what I said than you are willing to accept. What I said was;

A logically conservative, constitutional point of view, not a rabid extremist nut job point of view. Sad you cannot distinguish the subtle differences.

Yes I am appalled at the big government republicans. All conservatives should agree. I am completely for paying an honest days wages for an honest days work. For some reason this concept appalls and quite frankly scares the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of the participants of the two party scam. Sorry but I am a Goldwater conservative not a supremacist neocon disguised as a conservative who plays one on TV.

You are mistaken. I am completely confused by supremacist neocons, AKA republicans. I also see very little reason to argue with extremists on the left who think the government is a tool for supremacy, and that their form of government is the answer to everything..., wait that is what you non-conservative extremists on the right believe too. OK I'm just tired of you guys claiming to be conservatives when you are basically frothing at the mouth supremacist neocons that give true conservatives a bad name.

That is because you haven't got a clue what a conservative position is, and think a conservative position is the polar opposite of anything a progressive nut job says. You are a perfect sheeple for the two party scam, and you play your part well.

I doubt you even know what the word liberal actually means at this point. There are extremist progressives who control the democrat party, and there are extremist neocons who control the republican party, all supremacists and all part of the problem, which side you support only shows that you are a manipulated pawn who false for the con of the lesser of two evils.

    I'm for a smaller/ethically motivated/accountable/financially responsible government.

I believe in the right to bear arms, and limited gun control directed at criminals and the mentally disturbed, not law abiding citizens.

I am definitely against the illegal invasion of illegal trespassers and have seen absolutely any evidence in the constitution that illegal invaders and their illegal contraband should obtain automatic citizenship in relation to a criminal act.

I believe in the needs of America first, and I do not support the financing of dictators/communists/terrorists nations.

I believe in an honest days work for an honest days pay.

I believe in welfare programs that only provide help for poverty stricken unable to fend for themselves, and work programs for the able bodied, who only get subsidies in the way of payment for the hours they actually work, until they can obtain gainful employment in the private sector.

I do not believe in cronyism capitalism, or corporate welfare in any form.

I believe the rich mans tax system as well as every other form of taxation, needs to be scrapped for a realistic more reasonable flat tax that "EVERYBODY" should pay based on their actual annual income, with very limited deductions that are oriented at benefiting the nation as a whole, not the individual, or the big dogs of business.

I believe that politicians are employees of the people and should be treated as such. They should never be allowed to vote themselves raises, or enact exemptions to themselves for laws everybody else is required to follow. I also believe that behind door agreements are a treasonous act and should be treated as such.

I believe we the people are not the subjects of government, but their employers, and that it is elected officials who need to tread lightly, do their job according to the oath they swear too, & fear their wrath when they step out of line with the threat of dismissal, and or criminal prosecution when they break the law by their employers.

What do you believe in Tex? Whatever the side of the two party scam you show your allegiance too tells you to believe? As if we didn't already know.

You need a break Bronco. Go fishing, take a hike in the woods, breath some fresh air. Put the remote down and step away from that mouse more often. I'm worried about you my friend.

There is a lot more in that report than revenue that speaks to how credible Fox News is, and isn't.

What's intertesting is how they determined what was opinion, analysis, and hard news.

But since you won't hear opposing opinons, I guess the point is moot.

Actually, I have many things that keep me busy throughout my day, digesting a little news is not a problem. I am a hot rodder, and I spend a good deal of time working on my hot rods and have NPR on in the garage. My TV news is usually eating breakfast and I love watching Megan Kelly on FOX for her brains and beauty

I didn't read every syllable of what you posted, so if there is something in there to bolster your argument, please post it. They still said it was 50/50 and I would find the nuances to be opinion only

Good to hear. Too much media propaganda has to be bad for ya. :roflol:

So what is your favorite car? My favorite from my high school days was Chevy II, with a 327, and a 4 speed, me and my dad built. Midnight blue with silver metal flakes, and chrome wheels with baby moons. I loved that car.

Yeah, I love those old Nova's, 67' that was favorite year. I have a 55' Chevy with a 427 Smeding engine, with a Tremec 5 speed, and it puts out 540 horse to the rear. My car was a frame off restoration in 2008, and you could compare it to the build of a Chip Foose custom car on his show Overhaul n' on the Velocity channel. I do a lot of car shows throughout California, Nevada and Idaho. Hot rodding is addictive and the real cool part is, that it makes me feel like I'm 20 again (I'm actually 63)

BTW, I am not on the news thing all day everyday, except for listening to NPR in my garage, and if you didn't notice, I rarely leave the Current Events section of this forum. I will usually scan the different news stations when I'm eating, and I will read the Google news in the morning with my coffee. I get a lot from differing opinions even though I am very conservative in my thinking

Brainwashing is right term for it.
When I was in the Air National Guard, all the TVs on base were tuned into FOX news, all day long. Change the channel (if you could, most other channels were blocked) or even ask to watch something else, my shopmates would go into a sh*tfit. It made for a very toxic work environment. This was during the height of Glenn Beck's chalky ranting.

I learned alot that forever changed how I felt about politics and the media.

    SWEET!

Yea I do the daytime thing here at my real job, and in the morning I watch FOX before starting my day working, and in the evening catch the local and ABC News. MSNBC is a snooze fest, CNN is like watching paint dry, not much anything else worth watching. The rest of the time I do many things, all artistic in nature and on the weekends I rarely even turn on a computer.

Yeah really, you perfectly describe government on your signature line.

I would post a picture of my car but I would lose my anonymity :alcoholic:

Understand completely, and yes my signature pretty much expresses my feelings toward this modern travesty we call 'our' government.

    Whatever makes you feel better.

I've looked up enough of your posts and who you argue with to know exactly what you believe.

    Of course you did.

Again you were only arguing with conservatives no matter how you try and justify it later.

Not even close since God is not apart of any one religion and this was passed by Congress. Only liberals who still cite "separation of church and state" thinking its actually in the Constitution believe that.

Now that's funny considering this was a cost saving idea from a non RINO state.

I understand you don't believe in cost cutting and people who abuse the government's sick wages but considering the record we are discussing its not a surprise.

Label us anything you like the record speaks for itself.

The very fact you use "neocon" to describe conservatives you've argued with only proves my point.

Ah yes the "educated" liberal looking to enlighten his conservative opponent. You only keep making my point for me.

Obviously not or you would not have been against limiting sick days of government employees.

You can spout all the non supported positions you like. When you attack Fox News and downplay the influence of liberal news, support Obama releasing prisoners , attack "under God" when it was legally passed and not for a specific religion, and attack limiting the amount of sick days a public employee can take and top it off by arguing only with conservatives for 4 pages straight using common words like "neocon" to describe your conservative opponents your words speak for themselves. This isn't personal, its an evaluation of your positions and who you choose to debate.

The republican party is not conservative, and I didn't attack Fox any more than I did all of the corporate news source. You have tunnel vision and a reading comprehension problem. Almost everything you charged me with is completely false. You are a neocon not a conservative. Sorry to be the one to break the bad news too you.

No, a cult member is someone who spouts nonsense, like "conservative speakers need armed guards to appear on a college campus" or that Liberals have been trying to shut down FOX news.
That's the kind of rubbish that only a mind enslaved to a cult would believe.....

Fox never brainwashed anyone, what they did was hire Frank Lunz to conduct focus groups to find out what makes Republicans tick (and more specifically white men over 50 without college degrees who go to a christian church once a week)

Once they found that out, they started after their network's target demographic. So they didn't brainwash anybody, they just tell them what they want to hear.

It's no wonder Fox viewers defend the network while everybody else thinks it's a joke...even in spite of the pseudo journalistic circus it has become.

Psssst . . . your assertion has a really big problem in that it depends on no posters ever having watched any of his racially/ethnically/economically balanced focus groups handle his questions. Ooooops!

I can only go by what you post not what you claim after the fact and who you argue with and for 4 pages of your quotes it was conservatives.

You even equated conservatives with the one family who puts out the signs "God hates (*)(*)(*)(*)" which couldn't be a more common liberal tactic out there. Need a reminder?

You are a liberal and your positions and who you argue against prove it.

And I see you couldn't back up your claim I'm a neocon. Don't worry, its not the first time a liberal has called me that.
