Well, right now that industry in the U.S. is very depressed, all the work having been sent overseas... (Thanks Obama!) But, it will pick back up again in a few years so keep your skills sharp, do the odd jobs to stay busy and fed, and perhaps look at applying for a private school position teaching computer science. You act like a substitute teacher is a real job, and not just a temp job that requires a warm body. No lawyer in his right mind would take the job. Proof of damage would be next to impossible. Subs can't go around insulting students. Their job is to keep the classroom peaceful, and insulting gay students does not do that. (insulting any student is reason enough to get fired as a sub).

It's the truth. It's a temp job that pays almost nothing. Yes, it's better than not working, but it's not something anyone should aspire to as anything but the last resort or (for an older person) something to do to occupy time. The subs I knew that weren't either pursuing a teaching career or retired teachers were simply warm bodies. (now, it's a good way to get a teaching job, but that's a different situation).
I believe it's none of my business and it should be lawful. It would be a lot better if the government didn't step into social matters such as that but, rather kept to the legal terminology if a couple wishes to engage in a union.

Who am I to deny love between mutual persons? If they wish to marry let them do so. There is nothing morally wrong with love. The only marriage that is morally wrong is a forced marriage where there are one or more unconsenting partners.
