Reasonable people, like those seen anywhere else in the developed world, understand that education is a public good, necessary for the advancement of their nation. The response provided is ironic looking at the sentence structure and followed up by an emoji when discussing a pretty substantial issue in the states. This is another example of why accessible educational advancement is such a priority if we don’t want the movie Idiocracy to be a foreshadowing narrative for the United States.
Oh please. You want to defend your stance playing a grammar Nazi and question my education? You already lost the argument. Explain why my kids shouldn’t receive the same relief, because I was “stupid” enough to prepay and be responsible, locking in cheaper costs ? And why shouldn’t I be reimbursed for the loans I paid back in the 90s to early 2000s? Guess I was an idiot for living at home for a year to save some money and getting a cheap used car, instead of leasing a BMW. Better yet I wouldn’t have borrowed more than I knew I could pay back or graduated with a useless degree. Same way I’ve NEVER paid a late fee on a credit card because I don’t spend what I don’t have, same as my wife. It’s called responsibility. I don’t expect you to understand what personal responsibility is. And not EVERYONE deserves to go to college. It’s a privilege NOT a right. I know, tough concept to understand. Everyone younger than GenX doesn’t seem to get what privilege or hard work means.
FYI, I grew up in north east CT, we had to grow a garden for food, had a paper route for my allowance, we ate chicken, pasta, and maybe once a week beef. It was a beautiful setting, woods right by, hunting and fishing, let alone hiking and camping. A fine place for those who wish to live there. But it certainly wasn't a high end area. In the end all that doesn't matter, but I certainly don't try to put down others because where they live. I prefer to work hard and live high end, and such as heck will give no inch to someone who tries to tell me different. I spent time at Ft Polk, LA and Alexandria, I liked it, I would have no problems moving there, but if I did it wouldn't make where I live now any less.
So you admit they did not specifically vote to refuse anybaid aid to Florida. Now cite them saying they were voting to specifically and purposely make insulin more expensive.
You've got all your talking points lined up but the fact is you voted for someone that put the brakes on it and now you want to sit up here on your moral high horse and point your finger at other people. Remember there's at least three more pointing right back at you buddy. Go sell your party line garbage to someone that's gullible enough to buy it
I only stated America doesn’t value education — that is simply apparent. I was fortunate enough for my parents to pay for my education, my husband was not as fortunate and even with a well paying job those loans he took out at 18 prevented significant growth. We have since paid his off and have enough saved for our children. The argument of “I will not benefit from this so everyone else should have to suffer through it” is the hallmark of a conservative argument. Good for you! So because you sacrificed you would prefer everyone else do the same because it isn’t “fair” to your struggles? I would ask if you see how completely selfish that is but I believe we both already know the answer. There are many areas where financial responsibility should be taught and expected but obtaining an education shouldn’t be one of them, nor should healthcare. I own two small businesses in my 30’s and previously worked 80+ hours at my father’s company when I was in my late teens and early 20’s as a “lesson” so your assertion that only you have any personal responsibility is laughable. I will not do the same to my children. Education should not be a privilege, I know too many people that never even considered university because of the costs until “free” community college became available that are now excelling in their fields. I find it strange that all the things that made boomers miserable are what they want pushed on the youth and then you wonder why they hate y’all… Zero solutions only spread the misery
I am saying they voted against controlling the cost of lifesaving medications and disaster funding. Actions — or in this case votes — mean more than words. I know political pandering is all some require however.
Says the person who voted for the president who immediately put the brakes on Trump's plan to lower the cost of insulin. Now repeat you're talking points to justify that choice
Already asked for specifics for this remark. If we are at the point in our conversation when it is just childish dodge followed by a moronic personal attack and then it simply repeats we can part ways as we typically do.
A higher quantity of cheaply made red Chinese hats indicating the wearer is a member of the hat club?
Prove they voted SPECIFIALLY to do so not because of far more expensive measures in those bills. That they PURPOSELY voted against both and were they stand alone bills they still would have voted against them. I don't swallow the Dem game of inserting some "keep kids from being murdered program" that cost $100,000 into a $3T dollar spending bill with all sorts of pork and nonsense that will harm the country overall and then when Reps vote against the total bill claim "SEE they want more children murdered" is a dishonest and decietful practice on their part. Do you swallow it?
