Polls at this point are meaningless. Have people learned nothing from the last couple of elections? Even exit polls have become a joke and run counter to the actual vote. Whether it's purposely biased polls or or polls themselves just becoming obsolete I don't know but I do know they mean nothing.

 

So say polls which I have no faith in

 

You guys learned the wrong lesson from 2016. When you look at the polls, there weren't nearly as wrong as you make them out to be. The only place they were flat-out wrong was Wisconsin. It was the media's messaging and people's interpretation of the polls that were wrong. Everyone really misunderstands the polls and you guys are in for a rude awakening in 2020.

 

I have paid 0 attention to polls since Reagan was projected to lose but won in a landslide. Never under estimat the American people. Even this time.

Again, the polls in 2016 weren't all that wrong. As long as Biden holds a strong lead over Trump and that continues until election day he is going to win. Trump can't win the election with a horrible economy and has completely mis-handled the pandemic. I believe that Trump's approval will be so low by election day that it won't even be close.

 

One of the problems with this (there are many) is that by not really campaigning and being accessible voters will think they are talking their vote for granted. That they feel they are entitled and don't have to work for it. aside from that it just gives Donald Trump all the air time.

 

Revisionist history on display. Today is a carbon copy of democrats fooling themselves with polls and media reporting just like when the shoe in Hillary lost.

I understand what you are saying and I will agree. The polls were taken by the popular vote and exit polls. The real polling should be done on election day by polling the electors.

 

Right now Biden is far ahead of Trump in the polls, about 7%. This is a 2008-level lead. However, democrats are less likely to come out an vote because of the coronavirus. But I think this are going to get a lot worse and Trump will be at the level of Jimmy Carter by election day.

 

Again, the polls in 2016 were actually mostly right if you actually take the time to look at them. They were just misinterpreted by both sides. Today, they show Biden much further ahead than Hillary was and this pandemic is just going to make things worse for Trump. But a bright spot for you is that the Republicans will probably do well in the 2022 mid-terms.

 

I think it is necessary for the US Dems to win the presidency and both houses of Congress. This will forever tarnish the notion that they can bring back some kind of halcyon. And no one to blame for the disillusionment. My biggest concern is the permanent damage to the Supreme Court though.

 

Did you not read my post? The polls are meaningless, the electors is what matter.

 

There are lots of polls so to say that whoever is ahead by how much is meaningless. But when you take the polls in the aggregate, it appears that Biden is ahead in nearly all.

So US democrats at the helm with no real opposition. It’s all on your heads come January.

Victory could very well be your undoing.

But I am a lover of irony!

 

If a candidate is far ahead in the polls in the swing states right before the election, he is probably going to win. Even a few months out, the fact that Trump is far behind is a problem and means he has a lot of catching up to do, while this pandemic is dragging him down. Its kind of an impossible task.

 

I was hoping to soften your disappointment.

 

Yes the corona virus crisis creation will prove to be the greatest gift to the US Democratic Party. It will be said that the virus destroyed the US economy when in fact the government imposed shut downs did. Hope you’re not looking for a job in the US cause these shutdowns forever killed millions of them.

 

The government had to shut things down because the virus was increasing exponentially. If we hadn't then this whole country would have been as bad as New York and Italy. Keep in mind that even Trump and GOP governors were forced to order lockdowns too.
