The increasing restrictions on reproductive control has created victims where women who have had miscarriages or still births have found themselves charged with criminal offences https://www.bustle.com/p/the-rising...cy-is-turning-everyone-into-suspects-10115792 https://www.amnestyusa.org/reports/criminalizing-pregnancy-policing-pregnant-women-use-drugs-usa/
Drugs are illegal. Why shouldn't a woman of reproductive age who's having sex get some extra punishment if it's found out she's pregnant? The fact of whether she knew she was pregnant or not shouldn't necessarily be material to the charges. (Although the punishment should be even greater if she knew) The point is she should have known she could have been pregnant. Just like you know if you decide to drive while drunk that you could hit another car. The fetus is most vulnerable to drug-induced abnormalities during the earliest period of gestation. A child does not deserve that.
Most pro-choicers believe someone should be charged with fetal assault if they caused the damage and didn't have the woman's permission.
I can see the injustice of that, but you have to admit it's pretty suspicious. Most states have laws requiring you to immediately report a death.
somewhat related older thread I was able to dig up: Smoking during pregnancy it's okay if she's getting an abortion, right?
Yes, she does. One doesn't lose rights because they become pregnant....where did you hear such a silly thing?
You do realize that's an extremist position? Most people who say they support women's abortion choice would not agree with you.
Females have rights and fetuses have limited protections Less than one in five Americans accept kaze's extremist positions
Less than one in five Americans thinks that using drugs while pregnant should carry extra punishment? Somehow I very much doubt that.
You expect pro-lifers to see a problem with this? She was 25 weeks pregnant. The baby might have survived!!
What did I state in this thread, what position did I propound, that "less than one in five Americans would accept" ?
I know what I stated, I just don't know which statement you were referring to. Was it a statement made in this thread?
YOU have NO way of knowing that....why do you INSIST that you speak for other people...?? No, my position is not extremist....Anti-Choicers view is extremist, that women are cattle and need to be controlled as the Alabama legislator has proven..
The equivalency means nothing, kaze. Certain drugs are alway illegal. Regulation abortion is not illegal.
Drugs are illegal. How is that war on drugs working out? Abortion drugs cannot be any more difficult to obtain than crack!
