Who are unnamed and uncounted "employees?" I think the CEO was very civil while succinct and direct in his response. One of his options might have been to grant those "employees" their want and tell then they can go work for someone else that does not make police cars, though he would not have done so.

The virus of mass insanity is getting much worse than COVID.

I still disagree! The fact that Ford employees made that demand or request is News because it is an add on or extension of the defund police stupidity and the overreaction of banning food names. It is not long lasting News but it is News flash or better yet a f,ash in the pan News.
    One and done!

CBS nights news runs a "something nice " segment at the end of the news cast. Last couple days they showed a young kid who played music on his horn outside of a small medical facility as a thank you to medical staff.
Yes that is news because that is a different event an act of goodness which has been rare lately in a sea of rioting, adults lying, adult throwing schiest at each other which has been the "normal " base of reporting news.

    Exactly.

It could have been just a Minuscule Handful.

Maybe less than 5 (maybe Only 3).

According to a tip in the Jalopnik inbox, a number of Black Ford employees came together to raise concern about their employer’s manufacture of police vehicles. (We have since received clarification that the letter was written composed by a group of Black and white Ford employees.)

According to the info in the article, it could be as few as 3 EMPLOYEES.

My guess would be 2 Black Employees (and one of their Caucasian Friends).

But yes, the headline is (obviously) misleading clickbait that makes it seem like some kind of "Mass Movement".

    Wow.:roflol:

In any event, Ford Will NOT stop selling Police Vehicles.
And the entire "narrative" (in the OP Link) is supremely misguided.

If they get their way and defund too, the police cars at auction will be cheap. Bought a police car at auction once, for around $600.

No it won't be, it makes perfect sense and goes along with defunding and eliminating police departments. If there are no police departments, who will need police interceptors?

Ford will do well by listening to the voices of reason, lest they find their factories burning in the righteous fire.

They should. 3 concerned employees and a can of gas can ruin Ford's CEO day!

The issue has been brought up at recent town hall meetings, and now employees — including Black workers who are part of Ford’s African Ancestry Network (FAAN) employee resource group"
    https://www.theverge.com/2020/7/8/2...-police-vehicles-law-enforcement-george-floyd

Super easy to fix, just show us the FAAN letter disassociating them from that tiny group of "5 (maybe Only 3)."

Ford has plenty of parts made in Mexico already. I used to work in the automotive industry. All they have to do is build a new plant in Mexico in which I bet Mexico will help fund.
