Brennan's CIA ran an operation with the FBI that targeted the Trump presidential campaign, using foreign-based assets like CIA and MI6-linked Cambridge professor Stefan Halper, to lure Trump campaign aides into potentially politically-compromising meetings.

As USA Today reported earlier this year, "Glenn Simpson, founder of the Fusion GPS research firm that hired former British agent Christopher Steele, told investigators that the FBI had shared the existence of 'a human source from inside the Trump Organization' in a September 2016 meeting with Steele."

"Shared," as in exploited along with the CIA. So the CIA, which by law cannot spy on U.S. citizens on U.S. soil, seems to have partnered in spying on Trump.

Based on recent bizarrely angry comments, Brennan has a near pathological hatred of Trump. A growing pile of evidence suggests he co-ran a spying operation intended to smear Trump as a stooge of the Russians to help Hillary Clinton win the presidency.

It failed, but that's still criminal behavior. And the bogus investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller of Trump's alleged "collusion" with Russia continues.

The Senate should fully investigate the CIA's role under Brennan in trying to subvert our democracy. It's time the American people find out what really happened in the last election.

Disgraced former Director of National Intelligence James Crapper claims Brennan's loss of his security clearance is an "infringement" of his free speech rights. Others say Trump has "silenced" Brennan.

Hogwash. No one has taken his right to speak away from him. He's free to tweet, give speeches, show up on TV, host conferences, write books and rage-filled op-eds to his heart's content. He just can't have privileged access to the nation's secrets when he does so. He doesn't deserve it.

Rand Paul was right. Brennan should have never been approved as CIA director in the first place. He admits to voting Communist at least once in his life, a sign of extremism and poor judgment that shouldn't be rewarded with the most powerful spying post in our government.

First, there is nothing about his having that security clearance that has any bearing on his appearing on TV. He does not need a security clearance to do that, as we all know, so it's pointless even to argue that he is somehow abusing his clearance by doing so. Second, as a private citizen he has every right to speak out and criticize the president. He not abusing his security clearance by doing so. It is not even clear that his security clearance in any way informed his criticisms.

Trump is punishing people who are openly critical of him, and you and he both are searching for legitimate-sounding excuses for him to do so. It's sickening and unamerican.

As for the others who took part in spying on Trump, used their security clearances for political purposes, lied to Congress and the public, or merely profited from from knowing the nation's secrets as high-level "advisers" or TV talking heads, they too should also have their clearances lifted.

American taxpayers pay well over $60 billion a year to have 17 separate intelligence agencies collect secrets. It's in the national interest. Those secrets are not the private property of spy-agency bureaucrats.

The stewards of those secrets have a sacred responsibility not to abuse their privilege. Brennan did, and for that he lost his privilege. It's that simple.

 

Put it into context, big guy. You posted that Democrats are the party of "liars, corruption, and illegal spying." I responded by reminding you that Trump was a lifelong Democrat and therefore would fall into that category, yes? So say what you mean and mean what you say.

It is not that simple. Brennan is understandably very concerned about the security of our country under the tutelage of the incompetent Trump and thinks that Trump is dangerous and might do something stupid that would compromise the safety of our nation. He has every right to express his feelings on the matter and has done just that and Trump responds in a vindictive manner to any criticism. Note his constant rants about the media which constantly exposes Trump by airing his false statements and autocratic conduct for all to see and hear.
Brennan is not the " vile lying increasing unhinged Brennan" as described by you and the Trump flock. Spying on Trump? No, only in Trump's tortured mind which the flock buys into hook, line, and sinker. Trump is a habitual liar and reinvents history on a daily basis
to support his conduct.
In your mind, nobody who served their country and had security clearance should become analysts and especially be critical
of Trump, yes? Anybody criticising Trump should lose their security clearance, yes? These retired intelligence officials have
critical knowledge which leads them to believe that your president is leading our country in the wrong direction. The stewards of that
