I brought this up once, but it seems to me that the fence shown worked as designed. In case of huge stress (such as a flash flood), the easy to fix gates would fail instead of the whole fence.

As for your other bullets, we can have all kinds of laws but if the POTUS et. al. is going to not enforce them (like they are), then more laws will not fix the problem.
We already have laws to fine companies.
We already have laws for immediate deportation.
We already have laws that says a child born in the US cannot sponsor their parents until the child reaches age 18.
We already have laws against supporting illegals.

So, other than my comprehensive immigration policy, we should just enforce the laws we already have on the books.

 

Comprehensive reform is unfortunately what it is going to take — compromise from both sides with enforcement action not being able to be unilaterally removed. Perhaps the other popular programs to them.

Yea, I see no reason to believe that either party is willing to enforce the law. I also think it's funny that Trump asked for $1.8 billion a year to build the wall and it was considered outrageously expensive. By contrast, Biden is asking for $550 billion a year for his infrastructure bill and Nancy doesn't have a problem.

 

What if they were already within your border claiming asylum?

 

Bung them in detention centres until they were processed. Send the cheats back from whence they came, and allow genuine refugees in. We would not let them roam around the place, and get jobs etc. It seems that what happens over there. While there is much teeth gnashing and moans about these people coming into the USA, when they are in, there is no shortage of employers who are willing to put them on the pay-roll.
