True, but the Roman Emperors really knew how to put on a good show at the Coliseum. :)

Actually what's fair is everyone paying the exact same dollar amount. If a wealthy person pays $1,000,000.00 in federal income tax and someone in the working class pays $3,000.00 the wealthy person is the one who matters the most.

If everyone pays the exact same dollar amount, the rich person's money speaks no louder than the working man's money. That would be fair.

I think it has been repeated several times already. Congress authorizes and white house executes.

Most European countries with taxpayer funded health care, education etc taxation is far more regressive, not more progressive than in US. It means the low income people end up paying a larger share of their income in taxes. They know it, and they are ok with it. I doubt Americans would be ok with it.

That is mostly a myth, except maybe with Canadians who can just drive here, or oil sheiks who roll in cash.

Government regulates more than just tax policy.

    That's false.

If the president fails to sign a budget bill passed by the congress, the congress can override the president and pass it into law on a 2/3 vote in the house and senate.

That's you. I just provide facts. If you don't like it, tough.

If you can refute those facts with something other than your own uninformed opinions, let's see it.

TVs have a mute button. I use mine whenever Biden comes on the air. You should try the same with Trump, it would spare us from all your hate-filled posts.

You should try listening to Biden. It's not healthy to ignore information you find inconvenient to your beliefs. That's how people become more extreme and radicalized in their beliefs.

Good point. Politicians would still be able to collect bribes for other special favors.

“Media reports on government actions, whether debates, legislation, or regulation, almost always present them in terms of pure policy. New laws are for a specific purpose, perhaps even a noble one. But what if that isn't the real purpose of the exercise? What if politics is largely about fund-raising and moneymaking? The commercial motives of the Permanent Political Class in acting or not acting are rarely questioned and virtually never fully understood.”
EXTORTION, "How Politicians Extract Your money, BuyVotes, And Line Their Own Pockets, Peter Schweizer, HMO, NY, NY, 2013. p. 2, 3.

Actions speak louder than words, and the actions of Biden all align to the extreme left. That's all I need to know.

IOW, the House alone has the "power of the purse".

The Federalist No. 58: “The House of Representatives cannot only refuse, but they ALONE can propose the supplies requisite for the support of the government....This power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect, every just and salutary measure.” (all caps mine)

No they don't. All you need to know right now is that you're being purposely ignorant and extreme.

I try to listen to Biden speak. It’s just too painful. He’s a victim of elder abuse.

There is no such thing as full gov managed with gov employees healthcare out side of the VA. It’s private and non profit. Guess you don’t like Medicare.

That’s ridiculous. Bush killed the deficit by engaging in an unpaid for war and using supplemental budgets that raised the deficit by more then a trillion. The president can spend millions with congressional gov approval with the military spending that no one votes against. It’s a cash cow that out of control repugs use all the time to run up the deficit. Btw, you need to do some reading on the difference between deficit and debt.

guess you were asleep when Trump stole money from the military budget to fund his little wall. Ha ha. That’s hilarious.

That’s hilarious. Thousands of Americans including Rand Paul go to other countries for care.

No, you just keep repeating stuff that everyone already knows. How many times do people have to agree that congress controls the purse?
