    “I try”

    Really?

I wouldn’t point my finger at someone for a wrongdoing that I’ve committed 3 times….that’s hypocritical, and hypocrisy is a sin. Simply put, I couldn’t do it.

Thus, according to your belief, pro-choice Christians are hypocritical Christians/killers correct?

That is part of it, I agree. But anyone who preaches daily about the Bible, and helping your fellow man, would not amas a fortune for themselves, they would use it to help that “fellow man”…

If it was wrong for God's ministers to be rich then it wouldn't seem like God would make His ministers, like Solomon, some of the richest men in the world. Riches isn't the problem. And if Franklin or Trump have become rich from their work then that's great. According to 3 John 1:2 God's will is for His people (and that includes those who labor in the Word of God) to be prosperous.

The eye of the needle analogy appears in three of the four gospels.

Riches don't buy your way into Heaven was the point of the parable.

    Matthew 6:19
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
    Matthew 6:20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

    Matthew 19: 16-23
16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?”
17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”
18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
20 The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
23 And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.

    Acts 2: 44-45
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

It wasn't a parable. It was a young man who approached Jesus asking what he needed to do to follow Jesus

Why is the atheist has to tell you what is in your own book?

You didn't tell me anything. How many of the over 420 different types of figure of speeches found in the Bible do you know?

    Don't know, don't care.
The lesson of the "camel through the eye of the needle" was not a parable. You said it was. You were wrong.

Why can't you admit when you are wrong?

By the way, what is the eye of a needle?

Has Jerry Falwell Jr.endorsed Trump for 2024 yet?
It was Jerry Falwell Jr's wife who was screwing the pool guy as Junior watched from the corner.

Now that we've got that settled, care to address my points raised in post #104?

    Actually we haven't settled it.
You still have not admitted you were wrong about calling it a parable.

But since you want to call me out on it, I did address it in #107

No you didn't. You quoted some scriptures you really didn't understand. I mentioned Solomon, a minister of God, being made the richest man in the world. Plus I also mentioned 3 John 2. Explain those two points in relationship to your interpretation of scriptures.

Trust me, I probably understand these things better than you do.

I mean I understand the difference between a parable and something that is not a parable...so I'm doing better than you are.

You're deflecting. If you know scriptures better than I do then explain the points I brought up.

    I'm not deflecting.

I knew that the lesson of the camel in through the eye of the needle was not a parable. You said it was.
    I was right.
You just refuse to admit you were wrong.
For the first time on this board just admit you were wrong and the conversation can continue.

It most certainly is a parable.
    par·a·ble
    [ˈperəb(ə)l]
    NOUN
    1. a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels:
    Luke 18:25
The term " eye of a needle " is used as a metaphor for a very narrow opening. It occurs several times throughout the Talmud. The New Testament quotes Jesus as saying in Luke 18:25 that "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Jesus and the rich young man). from your wiki source above

I can only handle one wrong person at a time. Once Overitall admits he was wrong you will get your turn.

Don't bother. Everyone who can read already knows you've conceded because instead of proving your points, you deflect to ad hom fails.

    I accept your concession. :truce:
