Hillary's margin in the popular vote was pretty in line with the national polls

It's not fraud that they poll more Democrats, just another kind of affirmative action. Falsehood has been disfavored unfairly for a long time, and needs affirmative action to become equal to truth, which has benefitted from "truth privilege" for far too long.

Oh I see what you mean. there is an actually science and mathematical discipline behind polling. And here I thought you just added up the numbers and counted who answered by partisanship and divided that stuff up. Gee who'da thunk?

Consumers of news must realize that modern journalism is better compared to the yellow-journalism days of William Randolph Hearst rather than the journalism that many of us grew up with, where reporters sought the truth regardless of their bias.

Reporters and news anchors, for the most part, have had a liberal tilt for decades. That's just the nature of the beast. But most – Walter Conkrite is an example – put aside their bias in order to simply report the news.

They realized, at the time, that their liberal tilt was outside the mainstream and knew if they showed bias they would lose credibility.

But here we are today, where the leftist echo chamber is the only thing most journalists (as well as a minority of news consumers) know.

They are still outside the mainstream of normal Americans, which is why so many newspapers and TV news outlets have drastically suffered financial losses. (And also why congress and the presidency is under Republican control). This, and the creation of the internet – which allowed strident partisans on both sides to retreat to their own echo chambers – has returned us to a time of yellow journalism, where people only consume the news they wish to hear.

I daily encourage leftists here to step outside their echo chamber in order to become better debaters; the more news sources they seek out, the more knowledgeable they become. But there is great resistance.

Many conservatives here are well aware of liberal talking points; we read them in the New York Times, the Washington Post, The Atlantic, Slate etc. Heck, some of even visit Koz or the DU to see what the more strident leftists are shouting.

But try to get a leftist to visit National Review or the Washington Examiner or The Federalist?

In most cases, ain't going to happen...

Then by all means, prove this with a legit link. We would need to see what percentage of their polling were dems, repubs and independents.

The facts matter, always. For how can I draw a conclusion without them? I know, some of us do not need them, but a few of us do. And those of us that do, will never source them from MSM. For obvious reasons.

But I am a pessimist. Why? My gov't lies to me. My media no longer adheres to journalistic standards, and the hyper partisanship has poisoned every well which one might get a drink from.

Trying to figure out what are lies and deception takes time which most americans do not have. And partisans who might have the time, simply don't care as long as it backs up their partisanship. Nothing could be more true.
