OK, I'll be voting anything but Democrat in Nov. and in '16. If the Dems win...well, I'm getting on in years. I'll just give up any fight that's left in me and get with the majority. So, what I need to know is; Where do I get all my 'free stuff' and how do I go about getting it? I figure that the country will be doomed anyway. That the America I knew and lived in will disappear altogether...so I will be wanting my share of 'free stuff'. What the hell, why not? I just don't have a clue how to get it.
Nobody knows? Or is everybody in the know keeping it a secret? Should be easy to answer; seems like every line I stand in these days has at least one person with a hand full of coupon books and plastic cards to use as payment for their edibles. And the plastic cards aren't VISA or MASTERCARD. I'm simply asking where I get one or two of them. And a free smartphone. Hell, whatever is free. I promise to vote Democrat if that's what it takes. Just a little direction here..that's all I ask.
It has to do with networking, Ron. I know people who are third-generation "free stuff" folks and they know all the ins-and-outs of how to get all the good stuff. I listend to a woman explain to a newbie how you could tell welfare you fell asleep smoking a cigarette and burned up your couch and they could write you a check from "emergency funds" to get a new sofa. I also listened to two women in a local cafe explaining to two men how the women could, for $50, get them signed up for food stamps and other freebies. FWIW, my cousin still thinks President Obama will be paying off her home mortgages and her six-digit consumer credit debt. But, where do you sign up to get a free smartphone w/service?
The free Obamaphone is through a contractor called SafeLink. I'm sure they have a website and can get you on your way. As far as the other free stuff goes, I used to work with the Public Health Department in my state and it was ground zero for starting the process to get free stuff. However it may be other offices in other states. You live in California so I imagine there is a pretty big free stuff network there. You could start with Medicaid, and food stamps and once you are in the system, they'll probably help you get signed up for everything else. Enjoy the decline!
I was actually thinking along the lines of a free BMW and maybe a vacation to Cabo. Even though it may be free, I wouldn't go near Medicaid. I actually only want really good free stuff. I can get the rest of the crap on my own for now. Thanks
Are you in need of any of these freebies? If you are, go to your local health and human resources center to apply for whatever you need. The problem is not people who need them getting them, it is people who don't getting them. Don't be part of the problem.
If we could tell who looked at this thread it would be leaning way toward the left. Oh look free stuff!!!
I don't need them, no. But 'we the people' insist that we have a government that seems to have a need to supply them. So, being a 'good citizen' I feel that I should comply with the wishes of both the government and 'we the people'. It's my patriotic duty. So, again, where do I get that Beamer and my trip to Cabo? I don't want the other 'stuff' right now. They can consider it a trade for all the other 'stuff'. Fair enough?
That's ridiculous. You respond to the problem of people getting free stuff they don't need paid for by tax payers by wanting to do the same? Brilliant. lol
If you have a couple of kids, you can get $60k/yr in combined government benefits if you're willing to make the sacrifice to move to Hawaii.
I suppose you could just point a gun in someone's face and take their stuff for free, and if you get caught, you with a warm cot and 3 squares a day, so it is a win-win fer ya
Not brilliant, just goin' with the flow. Let's work it out; We the People have placed into power a man (men and women) that like the idea of free stuff. We the People experienced 4 years of their 'free stuff' policies, then We the People extended him another 4 years. I'm thinking that We the People agree to their free stuff policy (or else We the People would have replaced them). I'm simply giving in to the wishes of We the People. I think of my submission to the apparent wishes of We the People as being the right thing to do. In a democracy, whether we agree or not, it is our duty to uphold the wishes of the People. So....I'd like a new BMW and a trip to Cabo.
That's true, however that means that I'd have to be pro-active. I simply want to submit the the will of the People. Remain passive and get some free stuff. Actually some specific freestuff.
I'd start with an Obama rally... they probably pass out flyers pointing folks to the free stuff window.
Well dam. That's really bad news. It just doesn't seem fair though. I'm not asking for a check in the mail for the rest of my life, or $$$$ in foodstamps or free health care. Just a one time share of the free stuff in the form of a BMW (I'd even settle for the electric one) and a trip to Cabo. I'm not asking for nearly what 'we the people' think I deserve.
Sorry about your luck. You can only get freebies if your income is low enough and those freebies don't include vehicles or vacations.
Sure they do... just not directly. If I make $5200 in odd jobs, and I get freebies from the government to cover my food, housing, cellphone, etc. I can use the $5200 to buy a $2500 car and go to Cabo. If it weren't for the government freebies, I'd have to have spent that $5200 to feed and house myself and pay for my cell phone. So government, in effect, bought me a car and a trip to Cabo, right?
