FULL SPEECH: President Obama Delivers an Address to the Nation

Muricans spend a lot of time reassuring themselves that they aren't afraid yet a tiny town of 300 in Iowa will have a bearcat or any other military style vehicle. Police are scared of the people and the people for the most part are scared of the police. Americans are armed to the teeth. They have more guns than they have teeth. Gotta protect that 40 inch plasma they got for 300 bucks at Walmart. They ban Kinder Surprise because they fear their little brats will choke on the toy parts. They'll lock you up for having a joint on you.

 

You can't kill ideas with bombs. Bombing ISIS just makes them bigger rockstars. What you do is you ignore them. You give them free publicity when you plaster them and their sympathizers all over the tv. That's how they gain more followers. And when you kill civilians that's also how they gain more followers.

He may not have off blaming the GOP, global warming, he offered nothing new. Therefore it is still more of the same.

 

He asked for one reason to not block people on the no fly list from buying guns.....someone should have told that mope. Its called the Constitution and due process.

I couldn't watch more than a minute or so. I've tried twice, I just can't make myself watch and care what this liar has to say. I know I should but my brain says no, you don't respect him, he's probably lying through his teeth. I know I should listen because he is the President, I need to respect that but Obama has proven he is not worthy of respect.

I did notice he looked small and weak almost pathetic. He's the wrong man for the job, he's more interested in social engineering than protecting American lives. I'm guessing he isn't attending any funeral services or delivering any eulogies this time. He only does that when he can pimp race.

No I can't imagine that. Calling an enemy an enemy today is just not PC.

That's true to a point - he feels the need to calm people down where Islam is concerned. He feels the need to apologize and sympathize with their difficulties yet, does not apologize or sympathize at even a fraction of the extent with veterans, or christians, or other American's like blue collar workers - when was the last time he used a Sunday prime time address for those groups of AMERICAN'S?

That only took what 5 years to achieve? He definitely needs a pat on the back for that one!

Obama's all about ideology as he's an hyper-partisan ideologue.

The ironic thing about it is, we, the American people by popular vote, voted him in office to do that twice.

He's incapable of getting angry at Muslim extremist terrorists - he cannot even call them out by name, and must blame issues like this on inanimate objects and Republicans. The man should be required to go through a full and lengthy physical and psychological work up. He may have some brain disease or perhaps his staff has it and gave it to him.

Well, I'm sure glad he cleared that up, cuz I was wondering if the threat of terrorism was real of just some RW scare tactic they'ed dreamed up. Thanks, Obama!

 

No you don't just IGNORE it. Doing so takes our guard off of them. As far as bombs...you bomb as many as you can and give them the message to either straighten up or your going to keep getting it. If they don't get the message then they deserve to get bombed.

 

He looked as thrilled to be going through this "speech" drill as a man about to undergo hemorrhoid removal.

I watched the whole thing... it didn't take long. Nothing new. It was mostly like listening to some kind of wearisome recitation of news that was already four days old. The two take-aways? We must be certain not to think anything bad about "peaceful" Islam, and (of course), we need more gun control.

Don't feel too bad for Obama. He was understandably annoyed with being made late to a gala at the Kennedy Center by having to give the speech, but, soon he and his retinue will be decamping to yet another long, sumptuous "holiday" vacation in Hawaii. That should take the sting out of having to be a "president" for a few minutes and giving the first Oval Office speech he's made since 2010....
