Indeed, a business trip back to Ireland. I have not been there in 4 years and I am looking forward to it. Not only is Ireland a beautiful country, but Galway is considered by some to be the cultural center of the country. The bustling streets, the lousy food, the incredibly kind people, the crappy weather, all mine for a week. Never been to Ireland? Never been to Galway? Check out some photos I found online.
Tired of all that Liberalness ... eh. Was bound to happen.I mean too much of anything is not Goot. Too much of Liberalism is sure to git one's goat. I don't suppose you'll be lookin for Goats in Ireland.
Because Liberals stateside said you should.Liberals usually fall in line with what udder Libs insist. Because Liberals are really the sheep.
Because you won't be Lookin for Trees in Ireland. For some celtic reason Trees don't like Ireland.Maybe they learned from the Potato. But No Black Forest in Ireland.I like trees. Why is it called Black Forest, because even on a sunny day, inside the Forest it's dark.
As a movie buff I've seen some nice slice-of-life movies shot in Ireland. But there's always no trees. What a turn off.Vast countrysides and small villages and nary a big tree in sight. It because of the turmoil of the 16th and 17th centuries and the denuding of trees. No Great Forests like Ours in the states.
Like Maureen O'Hara.Born in an area of Dublin known as Ranelagh. Miss O'Hara was also an athlete,as a young gal and liked the more physical sports.I need help here.I remember Ms. O'Hara on a popular lat night talk show about 10-15 years ago and confessing her technique as a young gal playing woman's lacross. But it wasn't lacross. It was that Female sport that uses a club and a hard ball and females hit the thing and move it upfield like rugby.
That's because Ireland could fit into a state like Texas about 100 times so it's likely if all the trees in Ireland were uprooted and transported there, they probably wouldn't even displace a living soul.
I must say I've thought about going to Ireland many times. But there's something about those villages that bugs me.YUP.It's the distinct lack of trees.Man,if those many villages had nice large Trees,I'd split this pop stand in a sec.I can't seem comfortable in a place with no Trees. Like the movie - Giant -. Man like not a tree in sight for miles. That's just down home stupid.
I hate trees. Give me a treeless far-reaching plain. Tree-less hills. Something with no trees. To me they look like weeds. Kansas used to be fairly tree-less. Our pioneers ruined it by planting them. Now Kansas is ugly...except for those few spots where you only see grass and hills....not a tree in sight. Well....I would love to visit Ireland. My brother had a grand time on a visit. Its beautiful from what he says and his pictures.
