Gary Johnson would have a chance if people voted solely on issues and not Party Brand

Anything will be better than 4 more years of Obama. I like Romney's platform.

I've accepted that. But if I may quote the Joker from The Dark Knight, "It's not about the money, it's about sending a message."

That's funny. If enough people vote "no", it affects something.

But that isn't a yes/no question. Of course Romney will do some things I like and some things I don't like. But I have zero doubt that I will like what he does implement better than if Obama was in office. I have zero doubt that I will like Romney's SC appointees better than Obama's SC appointees. I have zero doubt that the government will grow less under Romney than it will under Obama.

I don't know how good a President Romney will be. I have never had, nor ever claimed to have, prognosticative powers.

Yes, I didn't word that well. As I've been saying, a third-party candidate can pull enough votes away to sway an election.

Well in the GOP Primary debates he participated in he was hardly impressive.

You just prognosticated about the fact that the government will grow less under Romney. I'd like to see the budget for DHS, DOD, and DOJ when he's at year 3.

Exactly, and it will remind people that you can't shove people to one side, mistreat them, etc and still have them continue to support you.

Did you watch the New Hampshire debate? He called Romney out on his sh!t in Chinese :p

Indeed. The irony about Huntsman is that he is everything Republicans claim they like about Mitt Romney - just more honest, more compassionate, and more human.

    I did, it was great.

And more electable in my opinion. Mitt is so stiff and disconnected from typical Americans, but he was the media darling from the start, before they were even out of the gate the establishment had already picked their horse.

Right. Just like G.W. Bush got slaughtered. Just like every non-conservative Republican in Congress gets slaughtered. I mean, that's why two non-conservatives (the current one extremely so) won the GOP nomination two Presidential elections in a row over actually conservative candidates.

You're only fooling yourself with this lie, glitch. The rest of us have seen the non-conservative GOP get slaughtered only by Democrats and Independents.

Oh, I know. That was the moment that made me stop and decide to look into him. The titanium balls it took to do that on national television...

He also endeared himself to me for accusing the GOP of acting like communist China.

Right. Huntsman would still get the "Anyone But Obama" GOP base vote, in addition to moderate votes and even liberal votes.

How do people get this delusional? It boggles the mind. My gosh, Gary Johnson? he can only accomplish one thing, and that's getting Obama re-elected. Stop being stupid.

Reap what you've sown. The GOP did this to themselves.

Calling people stupid is a surefire way to get them to fall in line and do what you want them to do if you live in an alternative universe where people don't care about being insulted.

    Who's stupid, again?

My favorite quarterback of all time used to say on Monday Night Football "If if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas."

The two major parties do exist and they do have massive gravity whether Gary Johnson likes it or not.

And third parties do exist and have supporters that will not vote for the monsters you've chosen to represent you, whether you like it or not.

Most of the time I don't like it since all they ever accomplish is to throw the general election to one side or the other without achieving any of their stated goals.

Then they sit on their butts and complain about the guy that they helped elect.

In most cases that's true, but anyone touting a 3rd part at this point is so far gone, there's nothing that can bring that back to reality. So you may as well just have a little fun with them. Anyone touting this guy is delusional, stupid, and countless other adjectives.

He was in the CNN debate. You have to generate at least 2% interest to get on the stage and GJ couldn't even muster that. A mimum standard is reasonable. Candidates should at least be slightly serious to be on the stage.
