You could also look at it as job security. Low pump prices certainly kills off competition from alt energy vehicles. Hard to sell a Volt in this market.
Or the aerospace industry. Bombardier is shaking down the provincial and federal governments for $1B each.
Almost all consumer goods spend time in a tractor trailer. Gas prices impact prices which can in turn impacts pay and jobs.
Indeed, companies are saving way more on transportation costs, as are people in general and when they have more money they will spend more money and that creates jobs.... More demand for everything... I just hope it lasts and this isn't some ploy.....
