Gay Couple Told Not To Return To Texas Restaurant

If they had touched or groped other people then I would understand the outrage and the name calling. Fact is though they only touched each other and it was under a table and for a moment.

Then this lady felt the need, when they were leaving to call them (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s to their faces. They didn't touch her or assault her at all, they didn't do anything wrong or illegal in fact. But she chose to verbally assault them and you're going to sit here and defend that behavior? Well good for you Smartie. Glad to know you approve of verbally assaulting people who did nothing but mind their own business at their own table.

 

Perhaps he should add to that list, "No (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s or footsies under the table and especially no (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s playing footsies under the table."

I doubt it. In my opinion, she would have waddled over to her daddy, Big Earl, who was discussing the latest batch of minnows and how he defended our country for 20 years with a bunch of guys with chew can rings in their pockets and told them about the gay guys.

If we assume that both stories are true- then neither side looks particularly good.

Telling two gay men that "we don't serve f**** here is the equivalent of telling two black men that "we don't serve n****** here".

I don't have a problem with a bar throwing out any couple for inappropriate public sexual displays. I do have a problem with blatant bigotry.

These grown men essentially came into this business establishment and disrespected the owner. No way are they victims... they brought it all on themselves.

Bad idea... there were consequences to their actions. What happened, happened. No amount of whining and hand wringing will change those facts.

What exactly happened to these two grown men that causes all this outrage? They got called a bad name and told not to come back. To hear y'all tell it, sounds like they were stoned to death in the parking lot.

That happened in a town near mine. A gay couple was kicked out of a diner after paying, but before getting their food. They demanded their money returned and the owner refused. They called the cops and pressed theft changed against the owner. I believe he ended up being sentenced to 30 days over it. It was only a 20 dollar bill, or so I heard, so it was only a misdemeanor. It has to be over 500 dollars where I live to be considered a felony. Apparently, this places makes you pay when you order, instead of after eating, to avoid dine and dashes.

How exactly did these guys disrespect the people in this restaurant? The claim is that one of them put his feet into the others lap under the table and that was it. You call it playing 'crotch footsie' but the restaurant owner's daughter didn't even say that, just that she saw his feet in the other guy's lap. How is that disrespectful to anyone? He didn't touch her in any way shape or form. I've done this before with my fiance, putting my feet on his lap under the table, and nobody verbally accosted us as we left. What exactly is it about putting your feet into your partner's lap that deserves a verbal tongue lashing from the restaurant owners?

 

Again, you seem to find it necessary to blame ME for this story. There is no guilty or innocent, there is only the report of what happened from CBS.

Obviously the owner felt there was sufficient disrespect to justify his daughter's outrage. Therefore it doesnt really matter what we think, eh?
