Are you denying occurred and the resulting economic collapse because of it? COVID was not some Trump policy you know. Big is the solution, that is Biden's problem he just wants to blame them for his anti-business policies.

This is the second thread where you are purposely misrepresenting what I have said and putting words in my mouth, you did about rape in the other thread.

    I demand you STOP IT.

Now address what I DID post

Are you denying occurred and the resulting economic collapse because of it? COVID was not some Trump policy you know. Big oil is the solution, that is Biden's problem he just wants to blame them for his anti-business policies.

you said "Why do you deny COVID crashed the economy?"

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...aring-inflation.601172/page-2#post-1073560341

so you're not blaming it on Covid?

do you think Trump played a role in this then, or just Biden?

I never denied Covid played a role in crashing the economy, you keep misrepresenting what I have said and putting words in my mouth

    I demand you STOP IT.

You blamed the collapse on Trump, are you withdrawing that now?

Biden was handed 3 vaccines and a plan to get them out. He was handed a economy that was already in a recovery. That was 18 months ago. Yes he is responsible for his policies that have cause the crisis in our energy supplies and his fiscal policies which have caused the inflation we are seeing and the pending recession.

How exactly did Bush crash the economy all by himself in 2008? Those of us who know the facts know the Dems took back the Congress on Jan.3 2008 a year before the recession even began. Did they pass Bush economic policies? Bush Budgets? Did they lock in the Bush tax rates which they could have done? Did they hold back huge spending increases or did Bush stand in their way? Exactly what is this blame you are trying to assign to Bush?

And of course we all know that GDP is solely and entirely a factor of who is President at the time..............................:wall:

Do you believe the Trump number is solely a factor of his economic and fiscal policy?

bush did not want the regulations.... so got rid of them

    https://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/business/worldbusiness/21iht-admin.4.18853088.html

"From his earliest days in office, Bush paired his belief that Americans do best when they own their own homes with his conviction that markets do best when left alone. Bush pushed hard to expand home ownership, especially among minority groups, an initiative that dovetailed with both his ambition to expand Republican appeal and the business interests of some of his biggest donors. But his housing policies and hands-off approach to regulation encouraged lax lending standards."

"Bush Ties Policy to Record Home Ownership" March 26, 2004

    https://www.foxnews.com/story/bush-ties-policy-to-record-home-ownership

"Late last year, Bush signed the American Dream Down Payment Act (search) to help families that can afford monthly mortgage payments but not the down payment or closing costs associated with buying a house. The legislation authorizes $200 million a year in down payment assistance to at least 40,000 low-income families."

Remember how the conservatives on this site crowed how it was proof positive that Obama was a terrible President because
he couldn't get over a 3.0% GDP average ... well, guess what - Trump never made it above 3.0 even BEFORE Covid ... and
Trump was handed a decent economy to start with.

But if we look back, some of the better Presidents at building coalitions with Congress had the better GDP averages ... Reagan, Clinton, Kennedy, Johnson,
all were better at dealing with Congress. Trump absolutely sucked at building coalitions - even with his own party. Biden isn't much better.

I remember what I said and still do say about the Dems including Obama as a Senator and then Presidents economic performance. Bush built a great coalition with Congress when it was Republican and they got us out of the 2001 recession and into a full recovery creating record tax revenue increases, solid GDP, rising incomes and full employment. Obama built a great coalition with Congress when it was Democrat and proceeded to produce the worst recovery in modern history running the deficit up from $161B to $1,400B in just two years with unemployment soaring over the 8% he said his stimulus would hold it to and onto 10% staying over 8% for the next three years with tumbling LFPR and falling incomes. BTW the recession ended 6 months after he moved to the White House it was already winding down. It was proof positive that with his recovery in failure he gave his malaise speech about those good jobs never coming back.

And of course Biden was his recovery czar back then and he wants the SAME type policies once again and once again they are failing. He was handed an economy going into a strong recovery with COVID winding down as the vaccinations were already available. He blew this time just as he did back then even with a Dem Congress.
