Gendered Language Triggers Audience at Democratic Socialists of America 2019 National Convention

These socialists had a convention this month.

It goes about as well as you might think.

This may appear to be parody, but its just the latest reminder that socialists can't get anything right.

 

I'll happily work alongside these socialists to achieve our common goals, but man they need to toughen up. I know that these two guys aren't representative of their movement as a whole, but they are representative of a significant cohort therein.

 

They want to overturn capitalism, but they wave their "jazz hands" in the air because clapping is too triggering.

 

Any rational thinking person knows tha socialism and communism is a corrupted political economic model. It confounds me that we need to remind people.

Of course I am talking about real Socialist and real communists not those who Tump and his gangs of brain dead stooges and rally rompers call socialists and communist.

Trump fans need to beware calling anyone and anything that they either disagree with Socialist. Reason is that if you call everything Socialist when you come face to face with socialism some day you will not recognize it.

 

Unfortunately, the largest cohort of people making any damned sense in regard to economic policy and even sociology are socialists.

 

You have every right to your opinion about Socialist but you also have every right to be wrong. Keep up the good work.,,LOL

 

I popped into a DSA assembly once on campus and the primary takeaway I had was that they don't get much done and the reason why is actually also displayed in this video. They spent the vast majority of their face to face time critiquing each others language, setting rules for how to speak and what to talk about, and following antiquated parliamentary protocol that they didn't implement quite right but I got the sense that the role playing made them feel important.

A lot of their organization I didn't really understand but at this one meeting they seemed to be operating under a 'privilege point' system similar to the progressive stack from the occupy movement. I actually witnessed members that were called on and given time to address the group then forced to surrender their time to 'the marginalized' as they called it in an orchestrated dance where someone would stand up knowing they weren't going to speak just for some display of virtue signaling. The points were of course determined by things like gender, race, religion, etc, and of course the straight white male had the least number of points. IIRC the one with the most points at the time was 'boy' with slightly dark skin going by some gender term I didn't recognize (and cant remember) who apparently had some form of social anxiety disorder.

The experience was bizarre and cringy and it made me think this is what cults must be like. I remember thinking that I found it weird that they just let me walk in and sit down without some sort of background check or thought audit or something heh.

That socialists are the only one making sense is a damning indictment of our political system.

 

Are the people and group in the video socialist or not?

If this is their national convention I can only imagine what their local chapters look like.

It is cult like-its a secular religion. Faith based beliefs.

Listen to how authoritarian they are.

As we can see, this is not some distant movement-it cost real Americans real jobs in her home district.

She's also now seen as the face of the democrat party.

Ask This: If you work for yourself and earn a thousand dollars do you have the right to keep that money or should you put it all in a common pot with twenty people where a man spent the day writing working on a new poem which should be ready to be recited in a month and takes out of the funds $50 of the money you made working as his share for his efforts? If they say YES then a Socialist and if its a NO then your a capitalist. Simple. Because under Marx the poet and the labor of working at a hard job are the same thing.
