I have to agree with Martha here and I think fact that the millennials have flocked to Bernie like flies to (*)(*)(*)(*) is evidence. The more free stuff you promise them the more they love you. The children of hippies were bad enough but now we have the children of children of hippies. God help us! "Too many members of Generation Snowflake are still living with their parents rather than getting out into the world and making something of their lives, the celebrity businesswoman raged." "She is the latest person to rail against a mollycoddled generation who have turned universities into safe spaces to avoid testing their ideas in the crucible of debate and called on conference attendees to make jazz hands because clapping is too traumatic for their sensitive souls. I think every business is trying to target millennials, she said in an interview with Luxury Listings. But who are millennials? Now we are finding out that they are living with their parents. They dont have the initiative to go out and find a little apartment and grow a tomato plant on the terrace." https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14364...ccessful-warns-lifestyle-guru-martha-stewart/
Hippies oddly were in many ways the opposite of this group for all the (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing they at least had passion, enjoyed life and tried to make the world better now one might question the Hippies on how they viewed the world and so forth however they didn't sit there in the main many did work, many did speak out about injustice and made the Universities a center of both learning and discourse with ideas tested. Now they lost all of that I wish these kids were new Hippies it would be a huge improvement.
True enough that hippies left moms home and struck out on their own to make their own way in the world even if that way was a commune. The snowflakes want to hardship and no independence, they want to be taken care of first by mom and dad and then by government
Hillary is on the verge of forgiving college loan debts in an attempt to by the flakes votes, it may work.
NEWS FLASH! Older generations think that the up and coming generation are a bunch of lazy, slackers. That was never said about the Baby Boomers or Generation X, right?
Except they were right about all of them, each generation post the great generation is one step lower we are devolving.
Interesting concept. In which way is each generation one step lower? US productivity has risen steadily since 1947 as the chart below shows. Now since the Greatest Generation left the work force about 20 years ago or so, we should have had a decline in productivity since then if the other generations were all "lazy".
OK - if you're going to start bringing facts into the conversation, you're going to have to leave ...
You do not agree that technology would account for more productivity? You need proof that automation, computers, etc have made people more productive? If you need evidence then talking with you is paramount to talking with a pigeon.
I need proof that the increase in productivity is ALL due to technology or show proof that the work ethic has actually dropped.
Ok so let's recap from just the last couple days. Republicans hate Women Native Americans Millennials BLM or anything that looks like BLM And that's just in the last couple days
Socrates said that the up and coming generation is a bunch of lazy slackers, back in BC times. The millenials are no better or no worse in terms of working hard, than other generations. The main problem they have is narcissism, and that can be cured. - - - Updated - - - Not really. It's human nature. Every generation has said that the upcoming generation is bad. That goes back to Socrates in ancient Greece.
Bull(*)(*)(*)(*) Generation X is way better than those filthy (*)(*)(*)(*)ing worthless hippies. Despite being the smallest generation sandwiched between two generations of losers we have done a lot. The whole (*)(*)(*)(*)ing Internet was basically made by us. Worthless melenials say 'there should be an app for that. Gen-X writes the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing app because our generation's tech wasn't plug and play.
Uh-Oh. Here's where the millennial comes in and the pompous 40+ year old's have to deal with that terrible thing called reality. Let's get to it, shall we? -I make a good middle class income -I drive a nice car -I voted for Obama -I am white -I have my own place -I love capitalism and yelling at Amazon phone reps and I do it often -I am a Progressive suburbanite -I 100% think Bernie Sanders is correct. Capitalism is great and it will always prevail. However the top 10% of the country controlling over 90% of the wealth is insane and immoral. Nobody needs billions of dollars. Nobody. Nobody needs hundreds of millions of dollars. Nobody. Not you. Not I. Not your neighbor. To argue otherwise is the insane, immoral, unrealistic position. The American people worked for that money. That's their money, not the 10% who currently posses it.
That list looks woefully incomplete. According to the left, Republicans hate everyone except for white evangelicals. I'm in my basement right now creating hate signs with a space for a "fill in the blank" minority group. These will sell like hot cakes at the next Tea Party meeting.
That's all well and good but a Sanders presidency with a Democrat Congress would make my life miserable, just like the Obama presidency. Technically I'm in the upper-middle class (income with benefits = $110K per year), a group the Democrats target.
does it cost more to support the make love not war liberal requests? or the pro-war republicans requests?
Forgiving student loans is just like Amnesty for all illegals currently in the US. Until the root of the problem is fixed, all that is happening is votes are being bought. Of they know this and its why they are doing it.
