Perhaps not thought of as an intellectual, but whose program always involves thoughtful discussion, is Brian Williams. A frequent guest is also a smart cookie from the left, James Carville. I think Carville has keen insight into the electorate. He has warned the Democrats will lose ground if they move too far left, and I'm afraid he's right. Carville is blunt as hell, and his suggestion to drop the woke **** was prescient, and unfortunately has gone unheeded.

 

James Carville and his wife Madeline were definitely a big thing during the Obama years. The fact that they are both politically opposite is something we need to see more of these days.
