Couldn't have said it better. http://www.northjersey.com/news/176712291_It_is_time_to_get_out_and_vote.html NORTHJERSEY.COM : NEWS It is time to get out and vote THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2012 Voting is one of the greatest rights we have as United States citizens. From the presidential race down to municipal and board of education-level elections, every vote counts. Weve all been inundated with campaign mailers, television commercials, local and national debates, social media chatter, newspaper articles, etc. for months. But now, we are finally in the home stretch and closing in on election day Tuesday when all races will finally be decided. On the presidential level, Democratic incumbent President Barack Obama is being challenged by Republican Mitt Romney for the position of commander in chief and an address at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for the next four years. There are also several races in the U.S. Senate and House as well as the county-level offices. Several towns will see referendums and questions on the ballot. And in many of our local towns, candidates will face off in municipal and board of education election races. We arent going to tell you who to vote for or what decisions to make this Tuesday. We are going to tell you, however, that regardless of who you support or how you ultimately choose to cast your ballot, the most important thing that you can do is vote. The right to vote is a freedom we enjoy in this country and it means nothing if every one of us eligible to do so does not exercise that right. There is no better way to show your support and pride in our nation, to thank those who have gone before us and fought to the death to ensure we have such a right, than to head to the polls come Tuesday and make our voices heard with our vote. The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 6. Be a part of what makes this country great and vote in Tuesdays election.
If you don't know what you are talking about, don't vote. Low information voters are ruining our country, along with those who want their vote!
I won't. Are you saying that people need to be educated to learn which policies are in their own personal interests or the best interests of the country?

That's an interesting debate. Seems to come down to whether you can wait for long term changes to benefit you (support policies you believe to be in the best interests of the country) or are we impatient and just want some sort of quick fix that may not last (policies that behoove personal interests).
If you have to be urged or prodded or otherwise talked into voting rather than your own interest and motivation driving you to do so then DON'T.
