Schools are closed till next school year. My wife works at the high school so she is happy.

25% capacity , reasonable start. Hope it picks up pace. Movie theaters, stores etc.

Did see not restaurants or bars in that list :(

We need to get this thing back on track and save some people’s livelihoods. :)

I'm coming around to this view. I just hope we don't become reckless and forgetful, wouldn't be good to do so. One thing I appreciate about the plan is our hospitals (assuming clinics as well) must reserve at least 15% capacity for covid patients. We'll see how it goes.

Not saying you are wrong but I have a question, who "fact checks" the "factcheckers" and who declares them so?

They hired Donna Brazille, did they not? What far right type has CNN hired?

You have to consider their history and conclusions. Also, who funds them?

So you ARE arguing they are left wing! LMFAO. If they hire one democrat you declare them to be left? Seriously?

If hiring one lefty makes they left, then what is "fair and balanced"?

    Trump's former press secretary.

So by your logic. CNN is right wing.

You've linked to The Daily Star, a comic that is only known for pictures of topless women. When this newspaper first started production their biggest market was teenage boys ;)

Netflix couch potatoes due to lockdowns, definitely not good for the heart, thus, perhaps a spike of cardiovascular 5-10 years from now.

Not exactly, no. Those two are left of center and biased, but they don't indulge in conspiracy theories or wild, unproven stories on the same scale.

    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/cnn/

    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/msnbc/

    For both:

"They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes."

    "Factual Reporting: MIXED"

For the Daily Star, the verdict is "Right-Center, Conspiracy Theories, Sensationalism, Fake News"

    Big difference.

I have come to the conclusion that spreading fear is the only way the lamestream media can survive. They know they have viewers trapped in their homes so fire away with the bullshit 24/7 so it can be posted by the malcontents all day long.

    Good question.

    https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Media_Bias/Fact_Check

Over the last few years, I've found through doing my own research that Media Bias Fact Check is usually right. The site has helped me avoid fake news (the real fake news, not the Trumpian fake news--I can smell that from afar), and cautioned me to keep that salt shaker handy even with media sources I've come to trust.

I can't watch Fox News because of the obviousness of their horse pucky. I can watch CNN and MSNBC but I now notice the way they sometimes (not always) use deliberately inflammatory words and phrases. One has to learn to sift through that noise. Both are left wing, but to their credit, two things hold them above Fox News:

    1. When caught in an error or a deliberately misleading BS story, they admit it. I've never heard of Fox doing that.

    2. Both have become quite good at finding credible non-partisan experts on the hot issues of the day, while Fox tends more towards right wing crackpots with very little credibility, often just people wanting to be noticed by Trump. He has hired quite a few.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/19-people-who-have-worked-at-fox-news-trump-administration-2019-5

They have a pretty comprehensive list of "least biased" media outlets, if you're interested.

    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/center/

I highly recommend Reuters, AP, and the Christian Science Monitor, who seem to employ excellent fact checkers. And if political news is on your mind, Politico is on the "leased biased" list. Their reputation as a lefty source is undeserved.
