Giuliani is just a fool feeding tripe to the pigs that feed on it. Obama didn't "promise to unify us." That is a myth propogated by the right-wing media machine. I encourage anyone to produce evidence that Obama promised to unify us. If you go in search of what he said, the truth will embarrass you and especially divisive, small men like Giuliani. Second of all, OWS didn't come from Obama. It came from people feeling the burn of a bad economy. This is nothing new and happens everytime the economy dips. People ignorant of history think OWS came from Obama. You can dislike his policies, but start pretending as though everything from the common cold to your spilt milk is his fault and the conversation is over as soon as I'm done laughing at you. P.S.> Giuliani's just sour because his plan to support Fox News' emergence into the media market by letting them dodge NYC reg's and then have them support his bid for the Presidency backfired because someone more interesting than him showed up: Obama.
Its sad that the OWS movement can't come up with a precisely formulated agenda. If they did, perhaps more people would identify themselves with the movement, which seems to be nothing but standoffish thus far. Any criticism is rooted in their failure to stand for something, rather than standing against everything. Look at the following article http://www.huffingtonpost.com/danny-schechter/what-is-the-ows-agenda_b_1066175.html Yes, its a well written post, but rather than criticizing the critics, he should define the agenda. Sadly, he is agreeing while disagreeing, and doesn't even see it. So, just as the OWSers appear to be protesting for protest's sake, Mr. Schechter seems to be complaining for complaint's sake...aka as pulling the wool over someone's eyes. Its not too far fetched to see Obama as the front man of OWS, for he is division personified (granted, as are most politicians), and I assume it will bite him in the rear eventually. Its seems his handlers advise him to ride on the wave of OWS, just as so many Reps rode the TEA party movement back into DC. OWS may have been conceived with noble intentions, and I applaud a peaceful protest, but being against is not something I can identify myself with. What's more, instead of trashing about in various cities, blocking people from providing and doing business, the OWSers should march on DC, after coming up with a list of both grievances and possible solutions. It doesn't matter how many people yell, if they don't yell with one voice, no one can hear them
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeYOA1sVWu0"]2 Faces of Obama: The Uniter vs. The Let's Punish Them Divider - YouTube[/ame] OWS is an astro-turfed movement coming from Obama's progressive allies. They immediately jumped on board, and now it's turning into lawlessness and violence. _
I have my problems with occupy Wall St, as I think they are occupying the wrong street. But, these "black bloc" anarchists always show up around protests and cause trouble. They do not represent the majority of the protesters at all. Just watch some of the videos and the protesters trying to stop this mob of malcontents. Interestingly enough, the police is nowhere to be found when "black bloc" sets out on their rampage, but the media surely is there to take high quality photos of the destruction. G20 protests in Toronto, police admittedly were ordered to "stand down" when black bloc was destroying the city, then after black bloc was gone, the police started cracking peaceful heads. Watch "Into the Fire" documentary. Make what you will of all of that..
Really? You obviously haven't noticed reality. What percentage of Americans are in unions? Who wants Americans forced to join unions? Most Americans do not support organized crime. Is it astrturf when ACORN reborn is paying people to protest?
