If this is Bush's fault, why didn't this current situation start immediately after the law was passed in 2008? Why did this so called crisis just start in 2014?

I had lunch near Los Alamitos Air Base today (Orange County, CA) and I notice a Southwest 737 landing at the base. Now, that is damn weird. There is no flights to a reserve air base from a commercial carrier. So at lunch, in a little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, I ask the military guys next to us what is the deal with the Southwest flight. The answer is a mind blow.... they are using Southwest planes (chartered) to bring in the illegal aliens to Orange County, CA.

That's not completely true and you know it. The government is allowing certain people to stay if they can prove that they are entitled to asylum due to death threats and related conditions. Try to be a little more accurate; it will improve your credibility.

 

I never understood this notion that some kids ought to be seen by a private citizen or charity as 'a higher priority' because of a shared nationality. As far as I'm concerned where the need is greatest, and where those specific dollars can more efficiently reach the most without bureaucratic hurdles or exterior marketing or targeting costs, is the best bet. In some populations or demographics you spend more money looking and advertizing for the qualified, than actually feeding or caring for them. At least you are pretty sure these kids don't get food stamp supplementation that you need to either weed out or factor out.

 

Beck ceased to impress me after he blew around all the time about how the stock market was going to go below 5,000, and that we must all buy GOLD, which was going to SKYROCKET! I said at the time (~5 years ago) that this was highly unlikely because I KNEW that the Federal Reserve combine was going to rescue the same criminal bastards who caused the Great Recession and pump up the stock market by suppressing interest rates and buying toxic asset "paper" in the billions upon billions of dollars.The Fed was also going to make very damn sure that gold and silver prices were suppressed! It was completely and totally, criminally WRONG, but Beck didn't see it. And he's paid millions to be able to accurately see these things, and report them to the rest of us. He FAILED.

I didn't fall for it. I didn't buy GOLD. I made other decisions and have prospered, but no thanks to Glenn Beck! He has mislead many people and it would be better overall if he just shut up and went away.... No, Beck was being paid to peddle junk investments to the gullible for the benefit of the people paying him for doing ads. The reason buying gold and silver was a junk investment is because precious metals are a hedge against inflation. Buying them in the middle of a major recession when we have deflation is completely insane. Of course, so is cutting spending in the middle of a recession. Gold prices (and to a lesser degree silver) are still grossly inflated by a speculative bubble that will undoubtedly burst in its own good time. Which will probably be a disaster in its own right, but that's another story.

And yes, the Fed was always going to do everything in its power to prevent the stock market from completely collapsing and taking the rest of the economy down with it. That's their job. To prevent crazy people from starting a second great depression just because they can.
